Where are we today ?
Starting our day off early we up at 3 am. No problem we just went to bed at 8 o'clock last night. Lotsa time for some computing and coffee before the Stratford Airporter arrived at 4:10 am to pick us up (no Al he did not know you has only been there for 3 months). Mild clear morning and no traffic, 30 minutes later arrived at the Region of Waterloo International airport.

Arrive in Chicago 1 hour later and then... Customs, security checks, more checks, lots of walking then a train from terminal 5 to 3. this took 2.5 hours, but we had time anyway. They confiscated our 2 bananas and one apple we had packed for lunch but let us keep our chicken sandwiches, celery carrots and cheese, so we did get to eat some of our lunch anyway

Board the flight to Phoenix, this plane much bigger 6 seats wide but we had seats in the middle of each side on the same row. So sharing our lunch the people in between just passed it over to us. We arrived at 12.10 pm. No rushing now just hang out read and compute for a while. Leave Phoenix at 2:30 and arrive Yuma at 3:35pm

At the Yuma airport Ray and Cindy (of Ray and Cindy's Rv Travels)were kind enough to pick us up at the airport . Stopped at Dave and Mandy's Place who are camped in their park as well and treated everyone to a wonderful Buffet at lin's in Yuma. We all needed to eat anyway.

You'll definitely need some catch-up time today. Those flights take a lot out of you. That I know for a fact. Enjoy the sunshine!

DeleteGlad all went well on the flights back.
ReplyDeleteAll is good, but we much prefer travelling in our coach at our own pace.

Went like clockwork, no problems.
DeleteThey took the bananas and apple and let you keep the sandwich? That is strange.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to warmer temps.
Yeah it was strange because chicken from Canada is not allowed ?
DeleteWelcome back.... it's always good to be in one's own home, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt sure is, we missed our house.
DeleteGlad you made it home safe and sound. Enjoy the sun and take some time to relax.
ReplyDeleteWe have things to do, but we will relax just being in our own home again.
DeleteWelcome back...enjoy and relax in your desert home!
ReplyDeleteThank you we sure will.
DeleteWelcome back! Crossing from Mexico I once asked Customs why they cared if I had veggies with me since each state is different. Thought they should only be concerned with Homeland Security, not Calif. produce. Was sent to secondary inspection, and still not knowing what the hassle is with an apple.
ReplyDeleteWe not sure either, but it is what it is. Not a big deal, either leave it in Ontario or leave it at the US customs.
DeleteI bet you are thrilled to be back in the heat. The balance of your stay down here should be nice. And the slow drive back for Ontario should be nice too.
ReplyDeleteIt will be nice that's for sure.
DeleteWelcome back to your world. Sounds like you are more than happy to be back. Looking forward to catching up & enjoying a day of conversation, good eats & camaraderie. Let me know your plans.
ReplyDeleteYes is wonderful I sent you and email already
DeleteWelcome home! Back to shorts n tee shirts. I hope that big Weber back east didn't spoil you too much!
