today's journey |
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
Ajo & Why Arizona hold many great memories for us especially in our first few years of RVing. Have stayed at Gunsight Wash a couple times. Love the mighty Ajo mountain range there. We liked the Hickiwan Trails RV Park behind the Casino. Many memorable morning walks in the desert there. That whole area holds a very special place in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteWe have been wanting to come here for years, just never seemed to work out for us.
DeleteSome very nice camping spots here we will enjoy a few wonderful days in this area.
Great looking spot
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful place !
DeleteWe used to tease about the name of a town being "Why" and could only think of Why would we stop here!
ReplyDeleteWhy would ya stop here? For free beautiful desert camping of course.
DeleteI love that kind of place... been a few years since we've been there.... A chorizo burger, huh? Yep... I could go for that!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful area. The burger was soo tasty.
DeleteWe are going to get back to that part of the country next winter. We miss the desert and all its beauty. Enjoy your gorgeous site.
ReplyDeleteThe desert it like a magnet for us, just keeps pulling us back here and the wide open spaces.
DeleteGlad you're able to see more of the state.
ReplyDeleteSo much to see and away from the cities, that's what we love about this area.
DeleteOnly once have we ventured south from Gila Bend with the idea of camping among the saguaros - it was 107! Too hot for me! Your pictures and others I have seen do display the beauty of the area.
ReplyDeleteIt is getting hotter but only in the low 90's so not too bad yet, heading further east and north this weekend.
DeleteLooking forward to the route you will be taking home - so far it doesn't seem to be the most direct :-)
ReplyDeleteWe still have some time and places we wish to stop at yet.
DeleteWe will be there about April 2nd and of course you will be long gone.
ReplyDeleteYes we will heading out this Saturday.
DeleteBecause? :cD
