Where are we today ?
What another wonderful day in Canada. Almost sunshine and milder temperatures just about freezing. Not much sunshine but could be worse.
An early morning trip to Plattsville and hang out with guys for a bit. Home to pick up Suzie by 9 am we packed a lunch and head off to the St Jacob's Farmer's Market. Open year round Thurs and Saturday.

a few snow fluffies on the way but not a problem |
A mild day and most vendors inside but still a few die hards set up outside. We check out the cover all first,
lots of good stuff in there. Veggies and things.

Then we found Hilltop poultry for some Garlic Turkey sausage we love.

We had packed a lunch to get us through the day and headed to Plattsville to watch Grandson number 3 in a playoff hockey game. He scored the first and the last goal. They slaughtered the Cayuga team 9 to 1.

It was a good fast paced game lots of action going on. So nice to get a chance to see more of our family and grands while we are here.
Now back to Tavi time to whip up supper. A couple Haddock fillets baked in the oven with Panko bread crumbs for the recipe click

Now that was our fun day here in Ontario, surviving this cooler weather and having fun with family . Hope you had a good one too!
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
We'd love to spend more time outside but with Kathy's Medical issues it is better for us to stay indoors for our walks.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
That is too bad, because we love to live outside as much as possible
DeleteTemps just above freezing and you call it mild? You really are hardy Canadians! :cD
ReplyDeleteAfter some bitter cold weather, this is mild. Not warm or hot just milder.
DeleteI love those markets... love seeing other folks photos of them! Glad you're getting in some hockey games while there ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe love the markets too, more vendors in the summer of course, but still lots here year round.
DeleteYou wouldn't want to go to that Farmer's Market on an empty stomach. You my leave with your wallet a bit lighter...hehe
ReplyDeleteThats why we packed a lunch,lol..
DeleteLooks like a fine way to spend a winter Canadian day.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun day and not too cold.
DeleteDinner looks great! We need a good farmer's market like that in the lower mainland.
ReplyDeleteLove a good farmer's market.
DeleteYou'd have to have a pretty big suitcase to take back with you if you started shopping at that market. I doubt you'd want to do that. However, they sure are fun to browse through.
ReplyDeleteNot taking anything back but do enjoy the outing.
DeleteAlways a fun visit
