Where are we today ?
As I left off with last nights posting we were going to a surprise 50th Birthday Party for a good friend Ben. And Yes I did take a whole mess of pictures of the fun we had.
It was at the Legion in Town and it was a surprise for him. A good turn out around 100 people were there and we all had a great time.

Cinco de Mayo (May 5th is his birthday) |
The Mexican theme worked out very well. The music, the costumes, the food really a lot of fun.
|
of course chips and salsa |
|
Tacos, refried beans and more |
No margaritas though, not even Mexican beer after all the bar was the Canadian Legion.
|
That be the birthday boy and Darla, Mexican Hat dance |
Then the
piñatas always a lot of fun. There was 2, one for him and one for her.
|
he did a good job |
|
she did too |
Now the Happy couple come to chat with us for a bit, she looks wonderful with the long black wig, they played the part perfect !
|
Darla and Suzie grew up together, way back when |
|
of course we had to have some birthday cake too |
On yesterday's comments did I have a margarita hangover? Nope, number one, no margaritas and number two I did my new standard 2 beer then switch to N/A 0.5 % alcohol and only 50 calories.
We had a good time, visit with some old friends and got home way too late (around 11:30). No dancing just a lot of socializing and was really, really a great evening.
Then this morning my early morning country drive to Plattsville, shot the breeze with the guys for a bit. A wonderful bright sunny morning , blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
|
great start for a Sunday |
|
These guys out for a Sunday morning ride, stop for Breakfast somewhere |
After here cruised around town and saw a good friend out on his front yard, stopped to chat and joined him and the family for a nice coffee and catchup conversation, last summer was the last time we saw them.
Back home for lunch with Suzie, then a ran a few errands and was thinking a walkabout, but was now overcast and a bit breezy and energy levels were drained after a late night. so We did get a chance to enjoy our e-readers for a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon. Its been a while for sure.
Now I can whip up supper tonight and Wild Pacific Cod Fillets on the menu, pan fried in cocnut oil lightly coated with
fish crisp. And of course a tasty salad, did the trick.
|
very tasty |
