Where are we today ?
Foggy drive early this morning to Plattsville and back.

Then about 9:30am we packed a couple sandwiches to eat on the way and headed off to visit daughter number one in Aurora about 2 hours east and north of here. A nice get together for a Good Friday Easter family meal.
We arrived and the grandsons had a few buddies in and running around the house, doing what young kids do, having fun and making lotsa noise.
The weather was quite nice so onto the their back deck, chat enjoy the sunshine and nibble on a few snacks.

ur Princess, teaching me how to make bubbles, apparently I was doing it wrong. She sure nows how to do it, maybe I am too old to make the right bubbles.

Time for supper soon, the girls getting that together SIL and me got to fire up their HUGE Weber. To grill some pineapple slices with cinnamon and sugar, just enough to warm and glaze them

Then time for a feast, spiral ham, pineapple slices, mashed taters, green beans, and my apple broccoli salad all wonderful.

Wrapped with Kit Kat bars, covered with icing and topped with tiny chocolate eggs and pick marshmallow easter bunnies, wow. So much for our healthy eating today, but was wonderful. On the wagon tomorrow, I think.

DeleteLooks like you had a wonderful Good Friday. We couldn't understand yesterday why every place was packed. We had forgotten that in the south Good Friday is a holiday in many places even though not so much in the north. Have a Great Easter with your family.

Glad you enjoyed time with the family. Gonna steal, er borrow, some more recipes for our family gathering in a couple of weeks. We couldn't get a room at Mom's complex so going to get together on a quieter weekend and celebrate her birthday at the same time! Anxious to try the pineapple on the bbq especially.
