Where are we today ?
Cool night, great for sleeping. As usual up early before the sunrise just the way I like it. Morning walkabouts, a pot of coffee, and computing stuff.
Pick up a few things at the store then home for a light lunch. Loving this warm sunny weather in the high 60's is good.
After lunch I wanted to wrap up the radio/dash/ tv issue. So under the dash I connected a rear support to the radio that was not done previously. I believe it would have prevented the probelms we had.

Now I can put this monster Tv back in place and we should be good to go.
All back together and working perfect, feels good to get this project out of the way.

It was such a wonderful day I wanted to give our coach a good wash, get the road grime off. Had to buy a wash permit only $10.00 if I do it myself, good deal. Now get this. If we have an outside person come in to wash our Rv the wash permit is $25.00! Plus what you pay the washing people as well.
Got these things done and even washed the car as well while I was a it. (don't tell). Then enjoyed our e readers outside in the shade for a while.
Soon time to make supper. I saw these cool looking mini potatoes at the store and just had to bring some home. Must be American taters there is 3 kinds. Red, White and Blue potatoes. Gotta give them a try.

While relaxing outside our neighbor dropped in to give us this Red velvet cake! Not sure why but they were at the seniors centre and had some leftovers, dropped one at the office and one for their nice neighbors! That be us! Texas hospitality is amazing!

Now I had fired up our Weber Q 100 for tonight supper. Gonna grill a couple salmon fillets, 3 taters each (red, white and blue), fresh asparagus and a tasty salad.
Yep we had a good day, weather good and ma doing better, so we can just hang out here for a while.

How did the blue potatoes taste? I have never seen one before.

DeleteSheesh! A permit @ $10 for the privilege of washing your own rig? That said, I'm sure your rig and car looked nice following the cleaning effort.

9 years on the road, a lot of places don't allow you to wash your rig. There is also a lot of parks that do charge $5.00 to $20.00. I tried a do it yourself place and was a nuisance and cost $20.00. The camping is free so don't mind the $10.00 fee.

DeleteYou are one busy guy and good that you can accomplish so many things on the coach yourself. The weather has been similar here and it's my favorite with temps in the 65-70 range - warm enough for shorts and a tee but cool enough not to get too hot working.

DeleteMany of the parks we visit don't allow us the option of washing our own rig or our own vehicle. We like it when we can do it too. Paying a $10 fee to wash is really a good thing. However, once we cross over into Arizona, we hesitate to use park water to wash it because we end up with white spots all over it. Then, we try to find companies that bring in their own water .

You are right about the hard water in most of Arizona. We have only had our coach washed once when we were in Mexico, but still prefer to do it myself.

Those are cool potatoes! Were the blue potatoes tasty? Dinner sure looked yummy as always!

The blue potatoes taste like potatoes, just add cool color to you meal. Best baked though no boiled the color washed out.

Is it three hours... hmmm I didn't realize it was that far ... ahhhh I was thinking Wills Point.... here's their website ... I had a little shop on "The Mountain" for a few months ... ;) plan on spending more than a day ... they have great RV sites there ~ it's an all weekend event to see everything... remember it's Texas and it is huge. ;)

DeleteI love those little taters, coated with some olive oil salt and pepper and a pinch or two of Italian spice, then roasted on the grill. They are also excellent for potato salad.
ReplyDeleteThat is the way we do them too, but just for a side dish with meal, would be wonderful in a potato salad too. Colors would be amazing.
