Where are we today ?
Hey its Sunday morning and loving this real mild weather 62f at 5:30 am, amazing! Windows open, fantastic fan open, yep life is good. Gonna cool down for a bit but we will take this weather as it comes.This morning our plan is another flea market only about 1/2 hour away on the back roads.
First stop down the road at Love's fuel the car, cheapest gas we have seen so far this year. Works out to .72 cents a litre at 15 % exchange , what a deal!

Took off shortly after 9 am to this Olde Security Flea market. Not fancy but is a flea market, lotsa good deals, used stuff, new stuff and very reasonable prices, compared to yesterday in Houston.

| This is a great market not fancy but again more fun, that we enjoy. |
That was a fun morning for us and back home for lunch after a quick stop at Krogers in Willis for a few food stuffs and a fresh chicken for supper. Love the chicken prices here. 6 lb fresh chicken $6.70 . Too big for us and not frozen so I cut it up and froze 1/2 , the other half on our grill for supper. We will have leftovers too.
Putter around for a while, chat with our neighbors and enjoyed our e-readers outside, yep we love this weather.
Then to fire up our Weber Q 100 to grill this 1/2 chicken I quartered grilled yellow pepper, a fresh salad, a few fresh raspberries on the side.

ReplyDeleteI have always want this short handle ratchet, sure would have come in handy last summer when we replced the starter on our generator.
DeleteYou found a better price for fuel than we've found by about 13 cents a gallon. Too bad we can't stock up on that stuff when we see it. Beware of all those markets. We usually end up with stuff we really don't need.
ReplyDeleteThe best price we found for gas too, it would be nice to stock up, We have the rule in our house one in one out, we very seldom buy things we don't really need unless it is consumable.

DeleteYou sure found the bargains, $2.39 for gas is the cheapest we've heard of.

DeleteGreat price ...yet hoping it will drop down more and more and even more. I remember Sept. 1973 when the hi-test was $.23 9/10 a gallon. Ah, the good ol' days.

Unable to walk now, so I don't go to flea markets anymore. Good thing too, as not an inch of space left to hoard Stuff; doggone it.

A good deal on fuel prices! And you did well at the flea market too. Good idea to remove an equal amount of clothing from the MH when introducing new stuff.

DeleteLooks like that place has a little of everything, including some nice produce. I wear little else but Tee Shirts and since I always ruin them before I wear them out, the $2 versions sound just right.
