Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After last night's posting we were invited to a campfire with Bill and Barb at their friends trailer. Diane and Larry, They are also members of  Lazy Lakes resort in New York and live in Clarence Centre NY where Bill and Barb live. We have met them a few years ago at Lazy Lakes  so nice to join in and chat around their fire on another wonderful warm summer night.
nice fire
the conversation just flowed
soon time for us to head home
It rained all night last night and most of the day. A good day to go the the Huron County Playhouse in Grand Bend for a Matinee at the theatre. We have been here a few times over the years and love the location and the shows we have seen. With our busy summer this year it has been hard to schedule theatre tickets, but we did finally get 2 tickets for an afternoon show.
Shortly after 9 am this morning our good friends George and Rose came over to say so long for now, they are heading up to OwenSound for a fishing derby that they attend every year and enjoy

Huron Country Playhouse II this is where we went to the Theatre. Have been a few times and always enjoy their plays there.

This winning courtship comedy about chance encounters and fresh starts is a racy recipe for relentless laughter.
Sarah, a turkey farmer, has just left her husband and moved back home with her mother Gail, a long-divorced beekeeper who drowns her loneliness in the honey business. Both women are struggling to put their lives back in order when their hive is frequented by Ben, a strapping young grad student intent on studying the decline of the local bee population.

Throw in a meddlesome neighbour, a little internet dating, and a pair of tickets to the last-ever Turkey Days Dance, and love, lust and poultry come together in a raucously funny comedy with a huge, honeyed heart.
This was an awesome how and we were laughing most of the way through the play, We really enjoyed it.

Play house II next to the Main stage
a fun lighthearted comedy
the Mian stage is next door another play there today as well
the Little Mermaid at the main Stage
and lots of little Mermaids here for the show
The show went from 2 pm until 4:20 with a 20 minute intermission. And Bonus this time we could pre -order our refreshments so no line up at Intermission. Perfect ! A lot of laughs later the show was done and we began our ride home, about 30 minutes . But decided to stop half way home at Grog's for dinner, it has been a while since were there and always good food and service.
stopped here for dinner about 4:45 before the crowds
We began with sharing a bowl of homemade seafood chowder we have always enjoyed here.
oh so tasty
Suzie had a personal BBQ chicken pizza
and I enjiyed a feast of wonderful chicken wings with extra hot sauce
we had a good feast
pretty quite for a while then by 5:30 began to fill up
We were about done dinner and our friends Bill, Barb, Diane and Larry arrived for dinner and sat across from us , we chatted for a bit then headed back home,
Barb,Bill, Dianne and Larry
Larry even took a picture of us across from them
Now Suzie wanted to try this desert, peanut Butter chocolate pie , very decadent and very tasty. I tried to help her a bit but we did enjoy it.
oh Yeah she loved this
Heading back to Rock Glen had some interesting skies , very dark and windy with the wind turbines all lit up in the afternoon sun.
kinda cool I thought
Back home settled inside Melinda dropped by with Tucker so Suzie got a Tucker fix as well. Then it began to rain again and get windy.

Tucker right on the couch with Suzie to play
This sure was a perfect day for the theatre with the rainy weather. The play was excellent and so much fun with too many laughs. Sure glad that we were able to get tickets for this show.
Thanks for joining us today and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well.
