A nice relaxing overcast day again and we really enjoyed it catching up with more friends here.

Where are we today ?

More overnight rain helps us sleep like babies. Love the sound of rain on the roof. Uo nice and early did get a couple of wonderful cool morning walkabouts around the campground taken care of. Leg cramps from yesterday have gone away. Drank lotsa water so should be good. I have ti remember to drink water.
Really love it when the campground is so quiet and we know so many people here. Lots of friends to visit.
quiet here in the valley at 8 am
When I got up first thing what I did was take a bunch of chicken bones from the freezer and boil them up for some homemade chicken soup. Let them simmer for a couple of hours and in the meantime I whipped into Forest for a few groceries.
Finish the soup and we both enjoyed a very tasty bowl of Chicken (barley Soup, Patsy !)  It sure hit the spot and of course enough for a few more lunches.
we do love our homemade soups
Then the afternoon relaxing for a bit enjoying our e-readers in the shade a very comfortable mid 70's temperature. Had a Few friends drop by to say Hi Dick and Rae from Texas we have not seen since last summer. Liz Tayler,  Gerry and Melinda, then we saw Sylvia and Bill and Eli. Really so nice to keep in touch with fellow rv'ers we have met and camped with over the years.
I had a nice long hot shower here at the wonderful showers right across from us. Our  friends from New York did a day trip and got back later this afternoon. We will probably see them later tonight.
Then Scot wandered up to the playground across from us with Sadie Anne and came over for a short visit.
Sadie having fun with her Daddy
love her look so inquisitive
Soon time for supper and tonight we had planned some fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and a tasty salad and a garlic bun.
this sauce works for us , easy and tasty
leftover sauce for another meal
sure did the trick tonight, a nice rare treat
no leftovers
We done supper nice and early and enjoying more warm weather outside, It may or may not rain some more. No rain a campfire, rain maybe not. We play that by ear. Gonna post this now and if the campfire happens you will hear about tomorrow.
So far that was our nice day thanks for dropping on by nd hope yours was a good one as well

  1. Is Sadie Irish? My gosh what beautiful red hair! Barley is more common in Mexican soups of the nicer restaurants than other places. Yours looks delish!
