Wrapping up our last day here for a bit, enjoying this weather and ready to get back on the road again.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Looks like is gonna be another great day partly cloudy and temps about 80f and less humid. We will enjoy it for sure. After the morning coffee and computing I got our garbage ready for pick up. OOpps  O missed the truck by 2  minutes, so put the bag in our car and drove into Pettigrews to drop it off. Need to have a tag for your garbage to be picked up cost 2 bucks, but I had already put it on the bag.
Did get a short walkabout then into New Hamburg for a few last minute groceries here that we need.
Home for an early lunch then puttered around for a while, reading in the shade, check tire pressures and oil on the coach. Enjoy an nice long hot shower and top up our fresh water tank for our journey tomorrow up to Durham (Patsy and Bills place) and have fun with our good friends up on the Ridge there for a few days.
a nice country drive to New Hamburg on a newly paved road
After lunch I attempted a walk through the bush behind us but did not get more than  100 feet and was attacked by swans of these blood sucking skeeters. Ok no walk in the bush today, Early spring or fall is a much better time.
it is nice back here but not with these skeeters chomping at me
rained for a  bit
So back home relaxed in the shade with my honey, enjoying our e-readers. And even enjoying a nice rainfall that came about 3:30 this after noon for a while. Temps dropped quickly to about 72F and stayed that way for the rest of the day.
then the sun came back out
Soon time to whip up a salad, preheat our Weber Q 100 to grill  some chicken legs and thighs. I do them on our grill mat then when done slide them right onto the grill to crisp them up a bit more.
they doing wonderful
finish them right on the grill, nice and crispy
grilled chicken and a salad sure did the trick today
Back outside after supper and dishes, pack away our Weber Q and secure our awning ready for travel in the morning.
We had a fun relaxing week here and in the morning just heading on down the road, for more fun and adventure.
Thanks again for dropping by always appreciate our friends stopping by for a visit, to see what the heck we have been doing.
We were relaxing outside enjoying a nice evening and heard a storm coming in, so secured our awning and kept on reading, then at 8:45 the wind picked up and heard thunder  and lighting, could hear the rain approaching so quickly we packed up our chairs and headed inside just as the down pour began. Perfect timing !

  4. Skeeters seem to have gotten together everywhere to munch on us this year..Never had to deal with Barney's aunts..so far..
We are on fire here in Wa.-Ore.-etc..but I still plan on heading east to Id-ee-ho on Wednesday..
Getting further from young and waiting till next year doesn't seem like a good idea..eh??
    Safe travels!

    1. We have done pretty good for skeeters this year, but the flies are annoying. Those fire ants are brutal I ran into soon a few years ago in Texas a very painful experience.
Well get away from those fires and smoke and head east you man, travel safe David and enjoy the journey.

  5. It's all that great food you cook that makes you so tasty for skeeters. They sure are annoying pests. :c)

We had the same rain as you, no storms just heavy rain and thunder off in the distance for about 15 minutes. All while the guys were barbecuing our burgers. :) Bad timing! haha
    See you soon!
