Saturday and just enjoying the weather, because we can.

Where are we today ?
What are we doing today? Not much just the way we like it. Kick back and enjoy this wonderful weather. Mind you did find a few things to keep me busy.
First thing to open our awning and give us some shade, like I said before the sun here is very intense.  We do need a bit of shade, if not for us, but to help our fridge keep cool. Temp today got to 79 f with a SE wind and no humidity quite comfortable if you are not in the direct sun. Awning down and Suzie set up our sunshade. This we picked up in Quartzsite a few years ago, ten bucks. Easy up and easy down one person, easy peasy. We do not keep our awning down unless we are under it. The wind here it the desert can pick up at any minute and take our awning away. Don't need that to happen now do we? We do have a nice sunshade but takes 2 to put it on and take it off, not very convenient here.
Not the right color but the price was right
and does the trick
blocks the sun and we can see through it
Few walkabouts the park this morning and got a few miles under my belt.
Then wanted  to go for a bike ride. Flat tire on my bike! Checked it out valve stem leaking , so whipped into town the Ace Hardware here is amazing and got that done.
Then cruised around the park for  a while on my bike. Took a few more pics of some of the Casitas here, some are quite interesting
Then checking our one compartment the weathestirpping is coming off. Diagnosed the problem and found an easy fix. Got some Goop and glued it into place, looks good and so far so good.
not so good
Goop to the rescue
looks good as new
Now to just take it easy and enjoy some reading outside. We have a few hundred books to read on our e-readers so no need to worry about running out of reading material.
more wonderful clear blue skies
Then shortly after 4 o"clock gonna whip up a salad for supper and preheat our Weber Q. Tonight a couple Turkey burgers sounds like a plan.
sure did the trick tonight
Not much we need to see in the area, think we have been there and one most of it over the years. But we are mainly here for the weather anyway. So today and few more will work for us.
Thanks again for stopping buy, not exciting for you but is wonderful for us and that's what really matters.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..

  1. We have a sunshade we got several years ago. It's wonderful. We use it lots to keep the hot sun out.

  6. We are with you two. We only put the awning down when we are sitting out. We can't believe people who put there awning down and then go away for the day. One time our neighbor came back to find his awning on his roof.

Sit back and enjoy the gorgeous weather.

    1. We lost the awning on our class B about 20 years ago, just setting it up and a gust of wind came across the lake and put that awning in the bush behind us. Lesson learned then.
