Farmers market, pool time and summer time is amazing, just way to short.

Where are we today ?
We gonna have an awesome day today look at the temps below. Just what we have been waiting for.
temps feeling like 38C (only 100F)
Early morning fog and walkabouts but pretty clear by 8:30 am.
So we headed off to The Farmer's Market in St. Jacobs, beat the crowds and beat the heat.
we both bought new hats at our favorite hat vendor
So much to see and do here, and we check out all the prices they vary from vendor to vendor, always looking for a good deal.
fresh local corn
The buskers here are always good too.
love the Mini pies, we bought an elderberry pie
Then the oinsode meat vendors, we bought some Turkey sausage, and smoked pork chops, no room for fresh seafood right niw maybe next time.
amazing looking lobster, just under 3 lb
Now we back home for a light lunch, feeling good but getting warm. So after a quick vacuum of the pool we went for a nice refreshing dip to cool down.
pool at 78f nice and refreshing
Then I set about to pull our house batteries, clean them up and check the water level. Not bad at all did this last september and today only added 1 cup of distilled water to each battery.
When this was done daughter number 2 dropped by for a visit with the grands. Perfect day to enjoy John's pool, he did not mind so that's what we did.
tough guy Grandson number 4
their mom can do a cartwheel off the diving board too
The pool was refreshing, we were in 3 times today and enjoyed every minute of it. Now with the family here we decided to wander down the street to the Trails Edge for a bite. The visit and dinner was a spur of the moment thing so this worked out great.
got my chicken wings and fries, I good
daughter number 2 and the 2 boys
How can you beat a day like this? Amazing summer weather (hot and humid), play in the pool with the grands and chicken wings for supper. Gotta love it. This is what summer is all about. Air conditioning? Think not,we want to enjoy this summer weather to the fullest.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

  1. It is good to see that the farmers market you visited is actually offering farm products. Many of these local markets have migrated into craft sales and offer very little vegetables and other food items.

  4. I'd love that market! It would be hard to keep from buying more than I could use... just because it looks so fresh and tasty! The market in Presque Isle has about 5 vendors... maybe a few more.... but it's so limited. Oh well... I'll enjoy your market through your eyes.

  6. Personally I don't like the AC either but with Kathy's allergies and Heart condition we'll put up with it.

  7. That's the one frustrating thing about RV living, finding great deals on food items and not having enough room in the fridge to store them. :c(
