Happy Canada Day, was a pretty good one too

This morning was kinda nice, not raining. A quit trip to Buckhorn pick up a few things and back here, to hang out with Suzie.
love this .25 cent piece with the Canadian flag on it
About 11 am our friend Larry stopped by to say HI.  Have not seen him since this time last summer. Missed him and his wife in California last winter because of our early departure. So Nice to see him again and catch up.
After a bite for lunch we headed into the Buckhorn Community Centre to the Canada Day Celebrations, check things out. Nothing big or fancy, just a very nice small town community event, just the way we like it.

Back home, putter around for a bit, then "Happy hour" at Pat and Norms. So we grabbed our chairs and beverage to chat with some old and new old friends for an hour or so, until the skies started to sprinkle a bit about5 o"clock
good friends and lively conversation
Need something for your Pet for Happy Hour? Bow about Brew Buddies?

Now back home for supper. A big treat for us, Baked potatoes, prime rib steak (on sale), grilled mushrooms and onions and of course a salad.
perfect steak on our Q ,
nobody can cook it better than we do
sure was tasty
After supper a few friends stopped by to chat for a bit, while I worked on the blog. Musta did something wrong (distractions ya know) cause it disappeared, gone into cyberspace somewhere!. First time ever in almost 10 years, so had to start all over again. Later that I like but all done.
Thanks again for stopping by and if you are Canadian hope you enjoyed your Canada Day. If not Canadian hope your enjoy Wednesday was pretty wonderful here.

  2. Celebrations and holidays are usually fun days and especially more so if you aren't retired. If you are, all the worker bees are out filling up the campsites for the retired folks.

    1. Its a good thing that some people still work, the campsites would be too full otherwise.
