22 years ago today we got hitched and an amazing 22 it has been. And we company for the weekend yahoo !

Where are we today ?

This is Friday June 10th's post

Now 22 years ago I married my best friend Suzie and surprisingly (or maybe not) we are still best friends living the lifestyle that we both dreamed of for many years.
July 10th 1993
To celebrate I did laundry this morning and made a pasta salad this afternoon. Just to get us warmed up for the rest of the day.
perfect weather for a ride like this
I whipped up a mess of Pasta (Macaroni) Salad this afternoon, for company this weekend and a pot luck dinner with friends on Sunday. It's a nice tasty different salad for the recipe click HERE or my recipe Blog top right sidebar. This time I used yellow sweet peppers that we prefer over green peppers. I made 2 batches one for us with onions and one to take sunday (no onions). The nice thing about this it keeps for days in the fridge and gets better the longer it sits.

Then we can enjoy our e-readers in the shade for a while, wonderful. Happy Hour at Pat and Norm's.
Shortly after 6 pm my son Ken and Jane arrived for the weekend. They had booked a campsite in the forest here and enjoy camping in their tent.
They quickly got set up, then wandered down to our site where we enjoyed some BBQ'd Turkey Burgers, and my pasta salad and a very nice bean salad that Jane brought.
so tasty
Supper done, then I supplied the axe a fire wood so that  Ken could split up some firewood and got a wonderful campfire going. Campfires just add to atmosphere, on a warm summer night and conversation that never seems to end.
he is doing a fine job
nothing quite like a nice campfire
Now just because we could had to make some spider dogs. Quick and easy. long slices into both ends of a hot dog leaving room for your stick to hold it.
roast them over the fire until the ends curl
up and they look like a spider, yum
my.
Next thing we know its almost midnight! Hours past our regular bedtime. Time really does fly when you having fun. And we had fun all day, where did it go? So home they went to call it a night and will see them in the morning.
Thanks for stopping by and joining in the party, what a great way to celebrate our anniversary.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
