Where are we today ?

I am always more productive early in the morning so this is Monday's Posting

Monday morning were up up and loving this great summer weather, early morning walkabouts temps in the 70's f perfect.
So just puttering around in no hurry to hit the road, we got going about 10 am only 131 kms (80 miles) to go.
A lovely country drive, no highways , a few small towns, farm land and just a wonderful enjoyable drive.
Bridgenorth Causeway
love the back roads
Parked at my Cousin Marie and Franks Place, they have a perfect driveway for us. Its been a couple years since we have seen them.
Then a couple miles over to visit daughter number one and the Grands. We arrived and our Granddaughter number one greets us with look of a princess on here face.
We chatted for a while relaxed on the back deck enjoying this wonderful hot summer weather in the shade.
a mourning dove, came to join us too
Then 4 o'clock we walked the couple blocks to check out the 2 boys.
Love the old town Aurora
the boys finished up their Tennis lessons
So many nice old homes in this area.
Now back home  they fired up their (huge Weber) to grill a wonderful salmon fillet for supper.
add rice and a salad, excellent
desert "Monkey Bread" made by our Princess
Princess gets her exercise too.
"Look Grandad one hand!"
After supper we have 2 soccers games for the 2 boys. Now there are from 7 until 8 pm but are in 2 different parks . So we watched 1/2 hour of one whipped over to the other park a mile or so away and 1/2 hour of the other one.

The Princess and Suzie watching the game
Then back to their house for a special treat frozen yogurt (ice cream cones) on waffle cones was a wonderful way to wind up a very busy fun day.
Thanks for joining us and hope yours was wonderful too.

  1. Those short travel days are nice. Being able to spend time with family is even nicer.

  3. OK, dat's a lotta salmon. I do mine on foil as well, but I brush on a mixture of grated garlic, olive oil and oregano. Turns out great. And the skin sticks to the foil. Easy peasy.
