Suzie's hair trimming, Farmer's market, reading and ice cream, wonderful !

Where are we today ?
What a wonderful morning today! Up at 5:30 am and temps at 65F (18C). What's not to like  about that? Got my walkabouts done and at 9 am headed into Buckhorn (8 minutes away). Suzie needs a hair cut (trim), 2-3 times a year. Easy thing to do with long hair.
Stopped into this hair dresser and she was taken right away. So I wandered about the village for 20 minutes to check out the sights.

Across the road to check out the lift lock and houseboats that were here.
this boat docked here for breakfast
nice patio here by the river
couple nice houseboats here exploring the
Trent Severn lift locks

across the road Cody Inn, Chinese food
After the hair trimming down the road to the Tuesday Farmer's market. Was here last week and brought Suzie today. Crafts, fresh baked goods, clothes and some local produce as well.
a blueberry, lemon tart for Suzie and a biscuit for me,
nice snack
nice wood working things as well
wood toys only $5.00
clothes
dvd's only $3.00
local Maple syrup
fresh local produce
Now back home for a light lunch and enjoy a wonderful afternoon. Reading our books (E-readers), walkabouts and a nice treat. Love reading outside with this great weather.  Then a dish of Butterscotch Ice cream! Thanks Charlie for the suggestion.
Oh soo good
A bit more reading then the rain began.  Love a nice warm rain.
Filled our water pail and I can wash our coach in the warm rain= perfect.
Now time to whip up supper. Made a tasty salad and a couple shrimp kabobs for the Weber Q.
only a few minutes and they are done
now we had a feast, nice home cooked meal
That was it for our fun day here in cottage country Ontario, sure is wonderful.
        Thanks for stopping in again.

  3. George, you made good use of your time to photograph your walkabout while Suzie was getting a hair trim. Nice photos.

We could use some of that rain you have been getting. It has been unseasonably hot and dry here on the west coast.

You can have some of our rain, no problem.

  4. Nice water borne RVs. Too expensive for my blood, though.

  6. I've always thought it would be nice to take a trip in a houseboat. It's on my to-do list but it'll probably be there a while. We can't seem to fit it in.
