Where are we today ?
Looks like we left Ontario just in time yesterday morning. Today they got a light dusting of snow, we are not that far away, but far enough I guess, we got lucky! We like getting lucky don't you?
Back in New Hamburg, this morning |
so nice down by the pond with the fall colors |
our coach in the center, so quiet here, love it |
maintenance is vacuuming up the leaves |
not so windy now |
chicken and baked taters |
of course some Swiss Chalet sauce, Only in Canada eh? But we have a winter supply. |
ok another chicken fix, steamed broccoli , dipping sauce and a fresh bun, love it ! |
My BOOBOO
On yesterday's posting Bob of "The Caretaker Chronicles made this comment, " Now, if you have the F53 Ford Chassis isn't it 75 US gallons? Ours Was. Just wondering." I had said we had a 70 gallon tank. So I rechecked our owner's manual again and yep he was right, thanks Bob for setting the records straight. We feel much better now knowing we still had 4 gallons left in our tank good for another 30 miles (give or take) before we have to start up the towed and push the coach.
That was it for another great day, just taking it easy, we reviewed our itinerary and made some changes and will probably make more changes as the days go by. Not a problem we will be, where we will be, not to sure yet but that is the beauty of this lifestyle. The end result we want to make it to Arizona, and back again too, we have 6 months to do this whats the hurry?
Thanks for stopping on by and hope y'all had a great day too as fall is winding down.

Wasn't much of a booboo anyway. Good you got out of Ontario now. Winter sure comes. We aren't eating outside anymore either.
ReplyDeleteBut I was corrected and now I know.
DeleteEating inside is ok we have a nice view.
Glad you got lucky leaving before the s@#w arrived. Don't we all learn by our Boo-Boos. Now you'll know for next time. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
Yep live and learn, no s@#w here.
DeleteEnjoy your map. Nice to follow along without having to pull out my atlas.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like it too can remember where we are, if I forget.

ReplyDeleteTracfone??? What happened to the I-phone and the Bell contract?
The Tracphone is for me to carry, cause I wander about all the time. The I-phone with Bell is still our main phone, Its cheap and works great here in the USA.
DeleteYour gallon error went right over my head. Just glad you didn't run out of gas!
ReplyDeleteNow we know why we didn't run out of gas and its a good thing too.
DeleteLove to look at the white stuff.....it sure is pretty! Glad you are on your way!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty park...
It is nice here, we can look at pictures of the white stuff but don't want to touch it.
DeleteGlad to see you are back on the road again and just in time by the looks of things!

Nice to be out of Ontario and heading south again.
DeleteYes, but... that doesn't mean you should RELY on that "extra" four gallons. Too stressful dude!
ReplyDeleteI'm tucking away any and all of your little Weber tips. The foil under the chicken is a great idea. Have to get up my courage to try that one day. Maybe when it's a bit warmer out?
We gave up on the "100 pound comforter" program years ago. I remember as a kid being crushed under way too many blankets, and still not being all that warm. We have individual feather (down? whatever?) duvets these days. Oh man, just the best.
Bob, I won't RELY on it but is nice to know that our gauge is accurate. This 100 pound comforter is a family heirloom of Suzie's so is not going anywhere.
DeleteHopefully you'll be able to outrun that white stuff to warmer climes down south. You sure timed that right.
ReplyDeleteThats the plan I guess we wait and see.
DeleteSnow? Any snow is too much snow. Watch those weather reports as you sure don't want to see any around where you're at. New York gets plenty of that stuff too.
ReplyDeleteHoping New York will wait until we are gone, our friends that were are camping with here, is a snow plow operator here in the with.
DeletePerhaps you should head further south instead of staying put for a few days, just in case?
ReplyDeleteWe need to hang out here for a bit just in case.
DeleteWhite stuff? Only from a distance please. Good to know that you did have a small amount of fuel left. That is a good thing. Enjoy the journey.
ReplyDeleteThanks, we always enjoy our journeys.
DeleteYou weren't kidding by that statement (Left Ontario Just in Time) Well your chicken looked great as always, did'nt need the trivet here as we were in the low 20's. 70 min and came out perfect, doing a chicken noodle cassarole tonight with my left over chicken. Hope you have a great Friday!
DeleteSounds yummy, we had a chicken sandwich for lunch and a hot chicken sandwich, with gravy, taters and broccoli.
DeleteYou guys have a great day too.
Good to hear your border crossing was ok....always a relief. I've crossed at Lewiston/Queenston for 32 years.) back & forth to visit my family in Spencerport ( on the Erie Canal) Always gas up at Smokin Joes !
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to you guys ....
Kelly
Works great for us see you guys are making good time !
DeleteGreat fall colors except for the white stuff:)
ReplyDeleteWe nit like the whIte stuff either1
