Where are we today ?
Up early as usual, coffees and computing, secure our coach and into Pettigrews Garage Plattsville for 8 am to have our coach serviced before we hit the road next week. Dale does a great job checking everything over to keep things running in tip top condition. This done around the corner to John and Lea's (Camp Awesome) and were all set up shortly after 9 am. Snuggled in beside her school bus.Today is a very nice sunny fall day with temps around 60f (15c). I took Suzie to a doctors appointment then back home I got to play on the John Deere mowing some lawn for a few hours. Then I put on a huge pot of chicken bones to make a nice broth for some chicken noodles soup I will finish off tomorrow.
Then after the last few days of big meals tonights supper was just the opposite, 1/2 a turkey sandwich and a tasty bowl of ham and bean soup, just hit the spot.
Now after supper our good friends Mike, Trish, Jordan and of course Maggie dropped out for a visit. We met them at Rock Glen Resort years ago where they stayed the whole camping season and Jordan was home schooled. But now she has re-entered the public school system.
Today was their 18th wedding anniversary so we celebrated with some very tasty chocolate brownies my Mom made for us.
Happy Anniversary |
nice to sit around the fire telling stories |
Thanks for stopping in to check us out again and hope you enjoyed a nice sunny day too.

You're right. It's about time you started thinking about hitting the road south. Daytime temperatures may be nice but it's those night time temperatures that get you.
ReplyDeleteYep getting cooler now, can't wait to get on the road again!
DeleteAre you headed to Arizona this year?
ReplyDeleteYes Arizona is the Plan, Benson, St. David, Picacho peak (1 or 2 night) Pilot Knob California for Christmas and New years, Quartzite for the rv show then ???
DeleteMaybe we can finally meet up with you guys.
It would be great to meet up with you guys. We will monitor your upcoming travels and hopefully we can connect!
DeleteGood deal you know where to find us.
DeleteI like that the comment shows up right away after I hit the button. But that's just me. I think as long as there aren't too many "hoops" to jump through, folks will offer a comment from time to time. I've given up commenting on any blogs where I have to "be a member" or do other signing up.
ReplyDeleteCapcha can be a challenge sometimes, depending on the size of the text, but quite often I'll just keep on moving rather
than offer a comment.
It's kind of neat that, in spite of being out in the country, your Motorhome service place is that close. That's handy.
It sure is have known these guys over 30 years and are very reliable and reasonable.
DeleteHam and bean soup sure does sound good but the weather here is still a little warm. I like soups and stews when it's colder. However, I'll take the warm weather for as long as we can have it.
ReplyDeleteThis fall weather is is perfect for these leftovers and making soup is wonderful.
DeleteSure nice having a good mechanic for your vehicles. Camp Awesome is a nice place to end this years Ontario time at. Sure looked like a fun summer again for you both. Your making me want to cook up a batch of that soup, looks so good! Simple things sometimes are the best. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSoup is so easy to make and get extra mileage from the leftovers too!
DeleteIt's pretty good when you can sit outside around a campfire in mid-October! Can't believe your countdown clock this morning - 6 days, wow!
ReplyDeleteYes! 6 days and we are on the road again....
DeleteAlmost ready, good for you. It's great to spend time with family but nice to be on the road also. Glad that your RV checked out okay.
ReplyDeleteWe are good to go !
DeleteI'll keep an eye in my rear view mirror for ya:))
ReplyDeleteOk thanks Al!
