Where are we today ?
After my morning coffees and computing and watching the sun rise through our front window. I headed into the Plattsville Arena to watch grandson number 4 on the ice for his hockey practice at 8 am.
beautiful sunrise this morning |
At the arena to watch the hockey practice he is making such great progress, just love this arena time, brings back so many memories and good times.
Now at 9 am headed back to pick up Suzie for the 10 am practice. Such an awesome sunny fall day!spotted two hot air balloons looking for a landing spot |
Touch down and the chase truck is right there for them |
Back home I sliced up the turkey I had cooked yesterday, placed in a roast pan and covered with the gel after skimming the fat off it. Reheat and will be so tender and moist!
Finished off the turkey noodle soup, gluten free! |
Still going, we stopped in New Hamburg at Suzie's Mom and Dad's to pick a couple large tables and chairs for Thanksgiving dinner here at Dennis and Sandy's on sunday.
Sandy cooked a nice bone in ham and a I carved it it up to reheat, save the bone to make a nice ham soup.
ham ready for tomorrow |
is that a huge mushroom our what? |
But then with all this working we need to have a bite to eat. How about a bowl of turkey noodle soup and a ham sandwich ? We have lots and somebody needs to taste test it right? So we did!
Homemade soup and sandwich for supper, sure hit the spot. |
Hope you enjoyed your day too. And a Happy Canadian Thanksgiving weekend to all out there that celebrate. For the next 2 days we get to consume some more of this food that we have prepped. AND we get to celebrate Thanksgiving next month too when we are down south, boy are we ever lucky!
Thanks for stopping by again, we do enjoy your company.
