A fun, busy day!

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario
Started the day off early 5:30 am with coffees and computing then a wonderful morning drive past the fields that are ready to and are being harvested. Then into Plattsville to drop off some extra hot pepperettes that I picked up at the Pinery Fleamarket for our friend Lea.

Was looking for a friend (Danny) in town and saw his truck at the restaurant, so stopped there to have a coffee and chat for a bit. Then Of course while there at least half a dozen people stopped in and said hi to me, many I have not seen for years.
Gotta get back home to pick up Suzie so we can head off to watch our grandson play soccer again at 9 am. My mother also was there to enjoy the fun and hot sun while the kids sure worked up a sweat. His team did not win but they all had a great time.
After the game we hung around there for a bit and chatted with some people then over to my daughters for a short visit until the next game at noon. Suzie got another dog fix with her two dogs right to her for attention.

After this game (they lost again but no matter everybody got a trophy) we headed right back to the farm, ran a few errands and helped get the house ready for Sandy's birthday party tomorrow. Then relax for a few minutes in the shade with a cold beverage watching this one squirrel running around the yard, digging up nuts and burying them. Now Omer he just sat there and kept a close eye all the time and surprisingly did not chase him today. Maybe it was too hot for him. It is so funny to watch him chase these squirrels just like the cartoon Roadrunner and Wylie E. Coyote. For over ten years he has never caught a squirrel.

think he knows Omer cannot catch him

Its getting late and Dennis is still in the fields and we are pooped. So for supper tonight we opted to pick up a mess of chicken wings and fries and just have a nice feast here.
hit the spot for sure
The chores out or the way and a busy day winding down along with a nice sunset, time to call it a night and become couch potatoes for a bit before hitting the sack. Gonna be a busy party day here tomorrow.
nice sunset
Well we had a great day, hope y'all did too, glad you could drop by.

  1. So nice to see all the farm fields dressed in their greens & golds this time of year. Farmers sure have been busy alright. Maybe some much needed rain today eh:))

  3. The hayfields remind me of Nebraska. I didn't know they had fields like that where you are.

Watch Suzie she just might have a stowaway puppy when you leave Canada! :)

  5. That little dog in your photo looks exactly like our Molly - I had to look a few times as the dog is almost identical.

Nice pics of the farmlands - and, or course, you're great dinner.
