Today is Canada's Birthday, 149 years young! Happy Birthday Canada, that's why we call it Canada Day. The weather started out wonderful then went downhill from there. This is the day that we have park wide yard sales, campground full should be good right? But the weather played a trick on us. Overcast, cool and drizzly, so not too many people wandering about. But we set up our stuff and had a couple people stop by. At least we met more people, new neighbors too, and had a fun day, Actually made a 2 dollar sale. Not a big deal we were not going anywhere today anyway.
Stuff that needs to go away |
we ready for the yard sale crowds, but did not happen |
the propane fire pit does a nice job |
We had rain on and off all day long, so much for the yard sales.
the water is pouring down our awning strap |

All in all not too bad of a day. We cannot control the weather but always make the best of what what we are dealt with.
This is only the beginning of a great long weekend the rest of it is looking pretty good.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and hope your weekend is wonderful too.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this summer
My father used to say that the only thing you can control about the weather is your attitude towards it. Looks like you're pretty good at that part of it!
ReplyDeleteHey...somebody doesn't like olives...
No matter the weather, we upright and breathing and I always enjoy those kinda days to the fullest.
DeleteSuzie is not an olive lover so I get to have them all, ymmy !
Sorry about the weather but it sounds as if it didn't worry you too much. I haven't been around much lately so just wanted to let you know I'm still here. Just not very vocal st the moment. Mums eyes are a bit crook again. We are reading just not commenting much. Mum likes the sound of your cauliflower pizza. She's going to give it a try. I'm not into cauli much but I guess it'd taste ok. Not as good as bunny, though.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you Charlie, hope Mums eyes are getting better.
DeleteThe Cauliflower pizza crust does not taste like cauli I think you might enjoy it, but like you said not as good as bunny.
I'm always surprised that you and Suzie like different things on your pizza.
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of a pizza, you can dress it anyway you like, I like hot peppers on my half as well but forgot to get some.
DeleteNow that's a yummy looking pizza! Hope the weather improves!
ReplyDeleteVery tasty, perfect for a rainy day, much nicer now.
DeleteEnjoy your celebration. That usually means lots of folks out doing exactly the same thing and that's what we expect where we are. Good weather, bad weather I know you'll always make the best of it.
ReplyDeleteWe just adjust to the weather, no problem there.
DeleteIt's wet and dreary on the left coast as well. I feel sorry for all the people camping out there in the rain. But we will still have a happy long weekend. The pizza looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to get a lot of that weather on the left coast, but moderate temperatures.
DeleteTasty and yummy as usual.
Too bad you got rained out/ on Canada Day. Over here it was a straight opposite. Weather was amazing all day long until around 5pm when clouds moved from the west (your weather?)and it got much colder.
ReplyDeleteAs you now we always make the best of what we have, worked out not out bad, glad your day was better.
