Another bright sunny hot summer day, perfect for the weekend campers. And not too busy this weekend. Next weekend is a holiday weekend here in Ontario, everyone saving their money and will most likely be packed next weekend. But today not gonna feel as hot only about 97f with the humidex. We do have a shady spot and a nice breeze. Our friends Rob and Pat stopped by for a morning visit on their walkabout, have not seen them for a while so was nice to catch up. Invited us over for Happy hour this afternoon.
Was a nice hot sunny day, but with a nice cool breeze and shade here we spent most of the day outside, a few walkabouts, chat with people that stopped by but not hot enough that we felt we needed a swim.
For supper tonight I am making some venison avocado burgers with one lb of ground venison we were gifted from our good friends Pat and Norm up at Galvin Bay resort near Buckhorn Ontario. For the recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar.
I was going to go to the fitness centre but before i knew it time for "Happy Hour" at Rob and Pats. Well gotta do it and the weather was perfect. Ron, Loree, Rob, Pat and Suzie
we being happy, share stories and flap our gums |
Happy hour winding down, and Oli is doing his rounds selling firewood for $5.00 a box delivered to you site. He does this twice everyday and is great to see him making a few bucks with his hard work. Nice to see a young man putting an effort into making some money.

The burger recipe sounds very good.
ReplyDeleteIt is very good, can do the same with ground chicken or turkey as well.
DeleteAnother awesome day in paradise!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was.
DeleteWe had a very short "fresh corn" window here - only in the stores for a couple of weeks. :-( Your dinner (as always) looks delicious!
ReplyDeletewe will have fresh local corn for quite a while yet.
DeleteIt was a very tasty dinner.
You let happy hour interfere with your workout? No one doe that....wrong!
ReplyDeletePriorities ya know, We don't see these people all the time.
DeleteIt's time for Peaches and Cream Chilliwack corn here. I'd love a venison burger...
ReplyDeleteWe have both here but prefer the yellow or white if we can get it.
DeleteUmmUmmm... venison burger! Sure looks good. And with sweet corn, no less... doesn't get much better. Yeah... that's the good life ;-)
ReplyDeleteYes Sharon it was all very good.
DeleteI am going to try that recipe with veggie ground round and see it turns out. What about using the BBQ mat for those burgers?
ReplyDeleteThe BBQ mat would probably work wonderful especially when using very lean like the veggies burgers.
