What a way to begin the day with a beautiful sunrise right outside our kitchen window. Love the sunrises here. After some computing and coffees about 7 am just headed out for a walkabout town get in a couple miles while it is so quiet still and cool, people just beginning to head off to work.
Stopped by Pettigrew's garage chat with guys a few minutes and arrange to have a repair on our car Thursday morning.
Home to work on some homemade chicken noodle soup. I had a bunch of bones in the freezer taking up space and had a craving for some more soup. Ran a few errands while it was simmering away and again home to finish it up and enjoy some for lunch.
Love soup for lunch |
so refreshing and quiet here |
Back home just before 5 o'clock, have this bunny just sitting there, not sure what he was waiting for, but if he is there long enough we could be having rabbit stew.
Bunny took off right away so I grilled a couple Turkey Burgers on an english muffin and a too large green salad for supper. Maybe set the leftover salad out to fatten up the bunnies?
love these Turkey burgers |
Glad that ya'll stopped by and want to also thank everyone that wished us a Happy Anniversary yesterday, we have had an amazing 23 years so far and looking forward to many, many more with Suzie by my side just cruising on down the road.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this summer
Happy Anny,And keep on cruising down the road, with occasional stops.
ReplyDeleteThat's the life we love and enjoy, thanks bunches.
DeleteI had to pay for my shingles shot too. Cost about 400 dollars but sure is worth it to avoid the shingles.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we paid as well for the 2 of us, the last thing we want is to suffer with shingles like our parents did. It will not guarantee we don't get them but if we do they will be much less severe.
DeleteYou sure do like getting up early! But sorry your pool is lonely.
ReplyDeleteLove the early morning quiet times, and watching the day begin.
DeleteI can keep the pool company especially with this hot weather, no problem
I found that the Shingles shot was cheaper at Costco than our local pharmacy. We don't need a doctor visit to get one.
ReplyDeleteI could have got the Shingles vaccine at Costco , but an hour roundtrip not too handy. Had to go to the doc anyway for the biopsy so not a problem and we don't pay for those visits here anyway.
DeleteNothing you can do but help make the pool not too lonely by jumping in and visiting. I bet it sure felt good too.
ReplyDeleteI will do my best checking th water temperature and bringing down mine. It's a tough job but somebody needs to do it so I can volunteer while we here.
DeleteGlad all tests are good and I'm sure biopsy will be too. Have a good time in this hot weather you two:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, we do enjoy this hot weather.
DeleteSounds like another fine day and started with a pretty site.
ReplyDeleteYes Larry an awesome day, and we get wonderful sunrises here.
DeleteI don't know what I like better....sunrise or sunset. They are both so soothing and gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe like them both, but don't get sunsets we can see with all the trees in the way.
DeleteKeep cooking soup like that and you'll never have health issues! Best to you both for many more happy years if travel. Cheers, from cold and wet Vancouver, BC.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter, you need some homemade soup out there, just because of the weather. I make it because I love it and can eat it in any weather, even the 103f today.
DeleteCongratulations on your clean bill of health. Great sunrise
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, feel awesome !
DeleteHAPPY ANNIVERSARY YOU TWO! I'm sorry I'm late but the wish is still packed with all best! Glad you enjoyed your day, and I can certainly vouch for waiting longer to find the right partner! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Patsy, it was a great day, Sometimes we just need to keep doing it until we get it right finally !
