Desert sunrises and sunsets here are what we love, plus everything in between.

Where are we today ?
Clic on a pic to enlarge it

Another mild night again and a nice sunset, then overcast most of the day with winds to 25 mph. The temperature was up to 76f , but with the winds and clouds felt kinda cool (guess we spoiled?) Bonus was that the wind came from the SSW behind  our coach so we could spend most of the day outside.
the sunrise is beginning
a few minutes later the sunrise explodes,
then the cloud cover took over,
for most of the day
Did get a few walkabouts today only 3 miles but better than none. Just enjoying the desert scenery that we love so much.
teddy bears and saguaro cactus are doing wonderful
so is this barrel cactus
love the blooms
Lots of people here have decorated their sites, believe they come here every year. Other than the weather, desert views and reasonable prices for dry camping, not much else in the area.
they do spend some time here
Soon time for lunch/ brunch. Today a treat for us, it's Sunday and we have some bacon, eggs, cooked potatoes for home fries. So fired up our Weber Q and we enjoyed a wonderful breaky.
nice to use the grill mat
no mess or smell inside

hmm,  a yoke broke so put on an extra egg,
cause I could
After lunch, now we can read, walkabout, read, walkabout and just enjoy this wonderful desert weather.
Most of today's skies
But sure did take advantage of the peace and quiet here, enjoying some page turner books, It is really a tough life ya know, Read a book or go for a walk, hmmm....
Eventually time to whip up supper. Tonight grill a couple of salmon fillets. Garlic bread from a hot dog bun and our salad.

sure filled the bill
Got this done so Suzie could watch her show at 6 pm, (NCIS I think) then the wind dies down and a very nice desert sunset about 6:30 pm.
wonderful sunset tonight
Just another relaxing desert day here, hope you enjoyed your day wherever you are.
       Thanks again for stopping by.

  4. Man, some of those people go all out with their sites. Paul makes those wind gadgets. Pretty cool how they work.

  5. Sun shots and breakfast all look great. Since I like to mix my potatoes and runny yolked eggs together, I've been know to add one for a broken yolk as well.

  6. Your sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous, as always down here. Love them. I think Suzie was watching Madame Secretary? She will be happy as we were that it was on and not a rerun. :)

  10. Looks like an interesting place to spend the night. Are some of the sites pull thru so we don't have to unhook and can we get a receipt for our $9.00 fee. Are there office hours. I couldn't fine the answerts online.

    1. Lots of areas to just pull through no real designated sites just large areas for short term campers. They take cash only and did give us a receipt. We are really enjoying it here. I believe the office is open 8 am to 5 pm, late arrivals must register before 10am the following day
