Wow we had some weather today!

Another awesome experience

      After a great evening with Janice and Laurie we are up early in the morning had our coffees, chatted with our hosts again for a while and enjoyed a very tasty breakfast sandwich assembled by chef Laurie.  Once on the road we travelled some scenic Ohio country side driving into very strong winds. With listening to the weather channel on our CB radio we kept an eye on local conditions. Around 1:00 pm the skies got dark and the wind picked up, with gusts of 50 to 70 mph. We pulled over to the side of the interstate for about 30 minutes, you could not see the road and the rain was coming down horizontally.

      Once the rains and wind let up we were mobile again. The skies cleared as we left Ohio.

Indiana

      Now with the worst of the storm behind us, it went thru Indiana and Ohio ahead and north of us, just like our weather channel told us it would. The skies cleared and sun shinning again as we pulled into the Pilot/Flying J in Indianapolis at about 4:00 pm. We fueled our coach $2.59 a gallon (.69 cents a litre) compared to $1.01 a litre in Ontario. A very significant savings today, we put a total of 272 litres of fuel in our coach today saving $111. 72. We also learned more information on the merger of the two companys.

      Now with clear skies and the sun shining we relaxed for a bit with some computing, a beverage then dressed and cooked a pizza we picked up at Walmart the other day.

      Now we puttered around a bit after supper, I replaced a tail light bulb on our coach, and Suzie read a book until it got too dark. Then turn on the tv to relax and enjoy a couple of shows before bedtime.
