Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
since August 2006
A sunny day today and much better than yesterdays cloudy rainy day. After some morning coffees and computing I made a large pot of turkey soup and let it simmer for lunch. While waiting for this I went to Kitchener and had our car oil sprayed at Houton Rust Control. They have a quick drive thru service, no appointment necessary, just go in the office and pay, ($59.65) get back in your car and start the quick well organized process. They do 6 cars every 1/2 hour with a crew of 6 men. Why rust control when we are not here in the winter? We plan on spending a lot of time on the beachs of any ocean available in our travels and the salt water in the air takes its toll.

Now back home for some of that turkey soup for lunch. An clean up the yard putting away the tables and chairs from our thanksgiving getogether yesterday.

With the puttering around all done we relaxed for a little bit until Sandy went and got our meat for us. Now when we leave Canada we miss some of the things we really enjoy and two of them are a good garlic sausage and nice tender beef. So to fix this dilemma we order 10 lbs of each and will preserve it in canning jars for the winter. The bonus of this is we can take it across the border and it does take up valuable freezer space. Tomorrow we do the beef.

With this project done, I whipped up a supper of a nice hot turkey sandwich, creamy mashed potatoes, carrots and salad. Then time to call it a night with a bit of tv, before turning in.
