where's the Turkey?
Thanksgivng Sunday and we are off to Suzie's parents for our annual thanksgiving dinner. After searching and searching our Thanksgiving turkey could not be found, so we settled on a couple of very moist and tasty locally raised chickens for the feast. We arrived at 11:00am to help her mother a bit then at noon her father began to carve the chickens. Oh I like to help too, this way I get to sample some of these birds, just to make sure all is ok.carvin the birds
table is ready
The table was set and everyone arrived that was coming so the feast began, chicken, potatoes, gravy, broccoli, salad, coleslaw, turnip, carrots, veggies, rolls so much to sample!. Then three homemade pies for desert, 2 pumpkin and one apple with fresh whipped cream. So good and filling now time to veg out and chat.playing with the twins
The one year old twins kept us entertained, for a while. Then a bit later a family that has been close for many years from Guatemala dropped by for a nice visit and chatted with everyone for quite a while in the afternoon. Then they came out to tour the farm a bit and back to Suzie's mom and dad's for supper.the calves wanting to be feed.

Then after everyone left the farm and Dennis was finished chores, we enjoyed a nice light supper of some fresh popped popcorn, giving Omer a few nibbles in the process.Omer catching popcorn
