Where are we today ?
Today is the second day of the 46th Plattsville Little Brave Hockey tournament for my grandsons. Both are playing today so its going to be a busy long day.the ice is ready for the the tournament |
Now that is six games in all each one against different teams from out of town. It was all excellent hockey and the kids did have a great time. Sadly they di not win one of them, but they kept their spirits up. So did us parents and grandparents too.
I was there with other family members for every game, but Suzie had errands to run with her Dad etc. Then I got back to New Hamburg, picked Suzie up at her Dad's and whip up supper. Boneless pork chops on our Weber Q and a loaded salad hit the spot.
so tasty |
We all had a wonderful day, that just seemed to slip on by, like 7 hockey games in one day! And for us who are not even sports fans, but this is something we have to do because we want to. it's our family and we actually enjoyed it too.
Finally got back home around 8 pm, in time for a short posting and put our feet up.
Thanks for taking a peak, nice to have you along.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.
7 hockey games in one day...that has to be a record for any parent let alone a grandparent. Glad the kids had a great time. They may not understand it right now, but it doesn't matter sometimes who wins or losses. It matters who has the most fun.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of the day they asked when is the next tournament, thats how much fun they had.
DeletePhew.....that is a lot of hockey. But it sure is a fun way to spend a day.

ReplyDeleteIt was a long day but also a lot of fun with the grands.
DeleteSpring has sprung yes !
You must have been drinking a lot of coffee to keep warm inside that Arena. I remember how cold I got with just a single game.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
They has overhead gas heaters going so was actually not too bad in the arena.
DeleteAll I can say is: PHEW!!! That's a lot of cheering. How's your voice?
