Guess where we are today?

Where are we today ?
Well if your read yesterdays posting I mentioned our plans went sideways! Yep they sure did. Facetime, emails and chats we made a decision that we need to head back home. Help out Suzie's family (mine too).
Yesterday Suzie spent  many hours on line while I was socializing and stuff, She has booked flight back home to help out her family. Flight from Phoenix Arizona right  to Kitchener Ontario perfect.t
So we hit the road about 9:30 am and arrived at Apache Palms RV park park in Phoenix (Tempe) about 4 pm local time. Had an hour time lost here with the time zones to Arizona.
love Quartzsite but not this year
Now we did cruise the main street of Quastzsite and fueled up at the east end of town not so busy here and cheap fuel, really gotta love it!

Silly al's was looking so forward to their Pizza,
 but.. gotta keep on moving
La Pmessa still has a FREE breakfast evey day
 very decent gas prices to!
We made our way to Apache Palms Rv  Park in Phoenix AZ . Close to to the airport. Its handy and a Good Sam Park but still $32.00 a night. Don;t care works for us and a very nice parking lot , ful l hookups, free wifi, cable tv, and nice pool and hot tub right behind us. The staff here is AWESOME!
nice
Hooked up here and relax for a bit then whip up supper. Just a fish fillet and a salad, no Weber Q but the oven works great too!

I will drop Suzie at the airport before 4 am  then back here to our coach and make the solo journey back the Ontario Canada (5-6 days). I offered to stay here until spring time and the weather warms up but that really did not go over well at all. So I will head  back to Ontario ASAP as the roads and weather permits!
That was our great travel day, doing what needs to be done,
Hope you had a good one too!

  1. Well, that is too bad George. Luckily we have fast, reliable communications available to us so we can keep in constant touch with family but sometimes it leads to something like this.

Take it easy on the way home George. It is easier driving when you have someone to talk to so don't push yourself, Suzi will have everything under control at home. Get home safely, not too quickly. We will be thinking of both of you.

  3. Well, that sucks. Obviously not good news, but such is life. We were hoping our paths would cross this season, but I guess it's not meant to be. Drive safely.

  23. It's is so good to have family that can be there when the need occurs. Good for you and Suzie, even if it is kind of sad when it happens. I applaud that you follow her into the cold, I know how hard that must be for you. But Suzie will need your support. Safe travels. We follow your updates. Prayers your way.
