A nice short travel day and shopping for RV stuff in Bowling Green Kentucky.

Where are we today ?
Bowling Green, Kentucky
We had a late night last night and did not get the posting of the tour we did at Loretta Lynn's Ranch done until this morning with lotsa pictures. So if you missed it you can click here and see what a great day we had.

Today is a travel day, slowly heading north to Bowling Green Kentucky only 133 miles so we are in no hurry, sunny warm day no rain. Just gonna shop and park for the night at Camping World and Gander Mountain. A few things we need.
133 miles today
Puttered around for a while killing time and hit the road about 10 am thru Nashville into Kentucky stopping at the visitors center to make lunch then on down the road to Camping World. We found everything we needed here at a good price. New, ready made curtains for the windshield on our coach less than a hundred dollars (old ones are done after 14 years) New step covers to replace the worn out ones (9 years old). A tube of self levelling caulking and a new water pressure regulator. All of these items much less expensive than we could purchase in Canada.
nice new curtains
new step covers, too!
So now that we spent our money here, we can save a bit with a free parking spot for the night. Oh yeah also went into Gander Mountain outdoor store wandered around and picked myself up a new vest (again, other one getting worn out) This too was 1/2 the price I pay back home. So we spent some money on stuff we needed but saved a lot too.
our nice parking spot for the night
not far from the two stores
Then after getting everything installed its soon time to whip up a nice easy supper. Just like a Hamburger Helper only much tastier.
added some asparagus, and garlic bread w/cheese,
really hit the spot
Nice with the two stores have their lights on now
and parking lot nice and quiet
We even had a beautiful sunset to end another great day
Compute and read for bit then watch the tube for a while until time to hit the sack.
Now all hooked up here just ready to hit the road in the morning heading for Wapakoneta  Ohio, where we will hang out for about a week, before heading back to cold Ontario.

Anyhow it has been a fun day for us and want to thank y'all for dropping in for a peak.

Hey look our counter came back mysteriously but now our map has gone funky, go figure.

  2. I like your step covers do they help keep the dirt out? There are just times we have to part with the $ and get what we need...just like that foam mattress. Which I do not regret buying.
    Be safe traveling.

  6. You finally crossed the route we took and went through Nashville,TN. Kentucky is a State we've never been in. Hopefully, you'll have some good weather on your journey farther north.

  8. We need new step covers. Our current ones looked good for two years so it's time to replace those too. Walmart is fantastic and we find way too much to buy there.

  11. Good deals on the new items for the Rig, like the new curtains. Gotta give the Zatarains a try sometime sounded good for a quick meal while traveling, especially with the Asparagus Yum! We are at an ROD park for the next few days Mountain Lakes in Lytle Creek Ca. Think it's a park you would like, we love it here, more open and natural. Will be posting a blog with pictures. Cheers!

    1. We almost made it to Mountian Lakes couple years ago, but was for Christmas and we were told no cellphone coverage, not good for Christmas.
Would love to see some pictures.

    2. We have a Verizon Jetpack for our internet, and Magic Jack for our phone while here so have good service. Some other carriers not so good at Mountain Lakes.
