Just puttering around enjoying the desert sun

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
In the low 50's F overnight perfect sleeping weather with the windows open. A nice colourful sky as the sun rises this morning, gonna be another great day. At 7:30 headed out for a 2 miles walkabout and by 8:30 am in shorts again.
an interesting sunrise today
love walking these trails here so many interesting sights to see.
most of these seasonal sites are huge
and nicely decorated
Took our 5 gallon water jug to the community centre across from the Why Not Store to fill up with RO purified water only a buck for 5 gallons.
a buck for 5 gallons of good water
Now home again and such a perfect day Suzie wanted to wash our throw blankets. So to the laundry here in the park 5 washers and 2 dryers and a clothes line.
nice cactus garden by the laundry
the clothes line was full so I just took it home
By the time they were washed the clothes line was full, so just took them home to hang from our awning to dry. With the sunshine slight breeze and dry desert climate they were dry in no time actually 45 minutes they were dry.
in no time they were dry
That taken care of  shortly after 10 time for a light lunch then another walkabout. It is getting pretty hot (80F) so the best part of today enjoying our page turners in the shade under our awning.
I finished another John Sandford page turner and rich into the next book in this series Really loving these adventures of Lucas Davenport.
Now you know it is a great day when Suzie is wearing shorts in the shade . It was 80 F  but she is a wuss  when it dropped to 79 F she put long pants on!
After our quiet happy hour discussing travels etc.. was time to whip up supper. Tonight gonna try these interesting smoked sausage. I picked up the other day.
heated nicely on our Weber Q
added to our salad they were a hit!
Supper done and back outside to read a bit more and post this blog. Still 72f at 6:30 pm , wow this is amazing!
and another nice desert sunset to win up our day
No complaints here at all this is the weather we are here for as long and we can. Now Suzie had mentioned that she has heard the burros around, and a few coyotes, but have not yet spotted any. Maybe we will.
Thanks for dropping by for a visit and hope y'all enjoyed your day as well. Oh have I mentions the free wifi here as well? Most of the time it is pretty good.

    1. Thanks Nancy the clothesline worked for us. These Aidelle smoked chicken sausage were quite tasty with the roasted garlic and gruyere cheese. A nice change. When we ran out of our turkey garlic sausage..
