Enjoying this amazing weather and it will only get better.

Where are we today?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Now today another repeat of yesterday, sunshine, clear blue skies no humidity and temps into the low 80s with next to no wind. What's not to love about that? Got a few early morning walkabouts done chat with a few people and just enjoyed this wonder weather that we are here for.
After a few miles around the campground and it the surrounding desert I got my bicycle down and headed our for a few more miles, using different muscles, sure feels nice too get back on my bike again.
love the bushes here
somebody know what they are ?
Such wonderful weather here now this is why we are here, gonna get very hot soon.
walkabout the desert for a bit so peaceful
Then my bike ride down the south frontage road for a mile or so and spotted this off on the desert. below.
south frontage road
see something  out there,
gotta check it out
An old building that looks like fire took care of the wood and the rest just fell down. Really makes you wonder who lived here, how long ago and what happened  to them.
the desert behind
looks like the front do=or was here
Mysteries of the desert and what once was.
On my way back stopped to take pic of the chapel across I-8 of the church on the hill in Felicity.
Home to relax and read in the shade for a while. chat with some neighbors then "happy hour:" at 3 pm Rob and Pats place today. We gathered around made introductions and began flapping our gums . sharing stories and tips to some newbies. Bill and Patsy arrived  a bit late but joined us  for a while to as they were setting up, a few laughs and then a couple hours later time to head on home to whip up supper and each do our own thing as the desert cools down.
Tonight we having our usual salad and some Halibut fillets . gonna try deep frying them in our fry daddy. We have electricity  and we have our fry daddy. lets give it a try. After doing that for 10 years in my restaurant , not a problem, Quick and easy an oh so tasty.
 4-5 minutes and done
crispy and moist
Drained the fish on paper towel, asparagus an lemon in the microwave for a minute, was wonderful.
yep sure hit the spot
Thanks for taking the time to stop on by and hope your day was a great as ours was.

  2. I believe that the flowering bush is a Bougainvillea bush. They are lovely and colourful, we see lots of them in Mexico and even here in Spain.

Good to see you are out there having fun.

    1. Thanks Ruth that's what I thought but could not remember how to spell it.

  3. I second the flowering bush as a bougainvillea bush. They are quite common in Florida, and their colors are majestic.

    1. Canola Oil, works for me, same oil as I used in the restaurant.

  5. Nice to be back in a full hook up park and one that has a pool and hot tub! Makes it easier to leave Borrego. :)

  6. The bougainvillea is very popular with it's bright colors. We have one as a tall thin divider in the front yard, handles pruning well. Looks great, but makes a mess when the flowers start to fall :)

    1. I guess not. the lumber was ancient, but the rest was chicken wire and cement.

  10. For certain a lovely bougainvillea. I have several in my yard here in Mazatlan and just planted yet another today.
