A very relaxing day, helping people and enjoying the weather.

Where are we today ?
Another great summer morning. Walkabouts then over to chat with Gail and Randy. They heading out this morning to the drag races in Grand Bend with a bunch of friends for the weekend. gonna to catch up again and see ya later down the road.
Was puttering around for a while, gonna wax the front of our coach, but a few people stopped by to chat for a bit, the waxing energy left then before we know it time for lunch.
Opps I remembered was suppose to stop by Rich and Mary-lous to check out their Satellite dish, this morning, not working again. Better late than never. No signal and checked out the system looks like a loose cable and the dish had moved slightly. No problem got it up and running in a few minutes, chat for a while then back home.
Gonna make a cauliflower crust pizza tonight, Cauliflower on sale so why not?  We love it.
cauliflower all "riced"
Suzie got her doggie fix when Tucker stopped in to say Hi
Toppings tonight. pizza sauce, turkey pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, red onions, yellow pepper, fresh tomatoes,  mozzarella cheese, olives and jalapeno peppers on my half.
lotsa toppings the way we like it
30  minutes on the Weber Q 100, looks good
very tasty it was
The cauliflower pizza crust we did tonight wanted to try in on our Weber Q 100. Worked out pretty good but takes longer than in our oven and the crust not as crispy as we like it. Still very tasty and edible, but do it in the oven, much better crust.  Click here  For the recipe or my recipe blog on the top right sidebar. And of course we have some leftovers for a light lunch snack.
Now to relax outside for a while, enjoy a mild evening listen to the crickets before the weekend people arrive.  What's not to love about this lifestyle?
For those of you that noticed our early departure date, we are on the move Sept 4th, hopefully things will work out and we will take a journey across Canada to Vancouver Island then head on down the west coast of the USA to southern Cal and Arizona. Something we have want to do for many years and looks like this could be the year.
Thanks for stopping by again love it when you can drop in like this.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

  1. I have yet to try the cauliflower pizza. It just seems like to much work for me. If you come thru Kelowna I can get you a deal here on the park for an RV site. Also would be happy to have you cook dinner for us.....oops I mean we will cook for you :))

    1. Sounds like a deal, that is a CTC park so we get a good rate and could probably whip a a dinner for you guys while we are there too, not a problem.
That we play by ear, nothing fancy just what I do.

    2. We will have to see if I get a better rate or you do. Dinner will be a combined endeavour. Maybe you can give us some Weber lessons. No matter what, we will provide the wine or your beverage of choice.

  5. I'd like to do that trip too, but going over the Rockies seems daunting to me. Not sure the rig could handle it.

  6. Sounds like a great trip, we did it by car in 2011 and will do again in our RV someday. Sept. 4th will come up soon and chances of seeing you before you go are slim. Have a safe trip and we will see you next year. As always we will be following on here to stay in touch. Take care to you both.

  8. Oh that pizza sure looks good. One day I will try that crust. Nothing beats a home made pizza. Which route are you taking through the mountains? The yellow head up north is the gentlest to Kamloops and then I quess the number 1 through Hells Gate canyon to Hope. That's the gentlest for an older or even newer rig. No matter which way it will be a very scenic drive.
