What wonderful sunny desert day, even if it was windy. And trouble in Paradise

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another desert day weather still much the same cool, and windy, but really out of the wind and the full sun is pretty nice. The trick is finding a place out of the wind. Got some computing and coffees done and a few walkabouts the campground. Our friends Ron, Loree and Freddy pulled out this morning heading to another adventure , that I know they will enjoy. I know we will meet up again at some point either this winter or back in Ontario at Rock Glen resort. Chatted with a couple of neighbours. Then before we knew time for our light lunch at 11 am.
a nice sunrise on my first walkabout this morning
Back home someone had parked his sand rail across from us for a bit and wandered over to check it out. Nice looking rig and pretty new, looks like Subaru engine in the rear , like a lot of them use not a Volkswagen one and this is turbo charged , sure will move through dunes nicely.
paddle tires in the rear
nice steering tires on the front
full harness 4 passenger a nice rig
This is the spot we can enjoy the sunshine out of the wind in front of our coach.
we have the perfect spot to sit outside no wind here
in front of our coach
After lunch I took a nice drive around the desert neighbourhood to see if anything was new. Not a lot but I do just enjoy the quiet desert scenery for a while.
Then back home for my afternoon tea and reading outside enjoying the fresh air and warm sun sheltered from the wind. This is the life.
Back behind us around the LTVA area still lotsa room here and a few rigs enjoying this area.
bit north of here cruised down this road beside the train tracks
Then to visit Felicity and the Centre of the world Plaza. We did that many years ago and is kinda cool.
the museum of Granite is another site to see.
the church on the hill
love this staircase apparently came from the Eiffel Tower years ago
Now back home I passed a another trailer stopped by the sewage dump station up the road. probably playing the dunes over the holidays.
couple of nice sand toys
Now reading outside for a while, on one of my walkabouts I noticed the highway patrol whip into the park, and followed it down towards our campsite. Not sure what was going on but there was 4 sheriffs here and about 4 hi way  patrol, an ambulance and 2 fire trucks.  The ambulance did not take anyone away and nobody knew what was going on?
Maybe a domestic distribute?
So back home again enjoying our e-readers in the warming sunshine. Rob dropped by for a visit to chat for a bit, Then Bill walked by with Clemson and Suzie got another doggie fix.
doggie  fix for Suzie with Clemson
Soon time for supper, a couple of burgers tonight on our Weber Q and Suzie wanted a side dish tonight, A rare one we do, but a tasty treat. We seem to be having a lot of treats lately?
this is quick easy and tasty I added some more broccoli and tomato
and served with our burgers
A choriozo burger for me and a shrimp burger for Suzie, on english muffins warmed on the Q in foil.
a nice tasty meal we both enjoyed
Then as we did this managed to catch another wonderful desert sunset.
There ya go just another desert day enjoying this wonderful sunshine, out of the cool wind, Now really does it get much better than this? Not for us. Soon the wind will stop and the temperature will rise, and before we know it heading back home to Ontario, to cool spring weather.
Wanna thank y'all for joining us today and I just know you had a great day as well.

  2. Nice looking dune buggy but not our thing. I'm with Suzie on the shrimp burger :)

Common George, you can't leave us hanging. We need to know how the police story ends. Somebody has to know.

Great sunset, we haven't seen the sun for days.

    1. It is a nice looking ride for sure, but we don't need one either. As of now, nobody I talked to knew what was going on. I like the shrimp burger too but wanted the chorizo, nice and spicy. Sunny here pretty well everyday.

    1. It was a wonderful day, As long as it is nice enough to be outside I love enjoying it. We each have our own preferences that's what is so nice about this lifestyle.
So far never heard, just lots of Police, fire trucks and ambulance.

  5. Well, as a general rule, EMT vehicles and fire trucks would never pull so close to those RVs if there was "action" going on when they arrived. Also, there must have been a firearm involved before they arrived and is the reason for the arrival of four armed police officers instead of two. Yep, probably a domestic dispute involving a weapon.

    1. That's what we assumed all standing around watching, but no one knew for sure. No guns shots were heard but think that would be about it.

  6. I often stop at the 'Center of the World', it's an interesting dream come to life as it continues to evolve. It has an interesting ongoing history as does the money that established it.
