More fun time in the desert sunshine

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Much cooler last night, was 37F at 4:30 this morning, but no wind. As the sun came up still too chilly for me to get excited about a walkabout. So at 7:30 I headed into town to pick up few things fill our water jug, then over to RV Lifestyles to set up an appointment for next week to have our slide out seals replaced.
On the way back at 9 am I counted 24 rigs in line for the dump station and also noticed that it was temporarily closed for repairs. Our friends Tom and Deb went with their coach at 7:30 and did not get back until 10, but they made it through.
I drove by the Rose rv Park on Keuhn street and noticed no lineup at their dump stations I know they have and very reasonable to dump and fill
the sun reflecting to the mountains west of us
dump station line up at 9 am 24 rigs.
not a bad price at all
to save a few hours in line
no body here at their dump station because then have to pay
Back home to relax for a while , puttered around a bit enjoying this wonderful sunny day and next to no wind. Was excellent.
After noon  George and Rose pulled  in wite their new to them coach a nice looking Tiffin Alegro RED so nice and roomy, much more space than the other coach they had. Rose is one happy lady !
nice looking rig
just pulling in and setting up
I course we all got a tour and is so very nice, so much space I am sure they will have many years enjoying this rig.ed
we all doing the tour
Now because it was a sunny desert day and not too much wind we began Happy hour at 3 pm, shelter from most of the breeze, only 55f so we needed some more clothes but we all had fun. More stories and more tips shared then just before 5 pm all headed on home as the weather was cooling. To make our own suppers.
before we now it happy hour cam to an end
Our super tonight was a large grilled boneless , skinless chicken breast using this very tasty BBQ sauce that we have come to enjoy. Thanks Deb for the tip.
love this sauce
done nicely on our grill mat
what a very tasty supper we enjoyed
And about the time we were done cooking enjoyed another wonderful desert sunset.
Just another excellent desert day, enjoying the sunshine and a happy hour with our friends, Really can't beat this lifestyle.

  2. It is amazing how the day/night temps can vary. We're heading out for a star party this weekend. It'll be clear and COLD! Hope it warms up for all of us.

  3. Amazing the difference a day makes. Soon we will be forgetting about the cold and windy days that have just past and we'll be slipping into the shade out of the sun's intense rays.
Glad you like the sauce. We really enjoy it.
A lot of rigs in those pictures. I thought some of them would be gone by now. I don't remember there being that many last year but then again, maybe my memory is faulty.

    1. Deb it sure is from a cold windy day to a nice calm sunny day, Too the sun will be too hot. It is a wonderful tasty sauce. This is the whole week of the show people come and go , need to dump their sewage and get water, next week will begin the big exodus.

  4. Interestingly enough we were 7th in line when we got there who would have thought it would take as long as it did.
It was nice to start the day with sunshine and no wind was certainly a bonus. Always a nice Happy Hour with this group.

    1. With the dump station closed for repairs, it kinda delayed things, At least you were comfy in your coach. And the sunshine with no wind was a real bonus.

  6. Their rig has the exact same floor plan as mine. Here's a hint for them. Get a big roll of that thin silver-coated insulation (I can't remember the name) and cut it to fit those top cabinets. Actually cut it 1/2 inch taller and place it on the back wall. The half inch will fold over and keep it nicely in place without glue. That will help with the heat from the black paint on the top. It also helps keep the rig warmer. I hope they enjoy it as much as I do mine!!

  8. George and Rose's new rig looks awesome! I could see paying the $20.00 to avoid those long lines and the wait! Another beautiful day for sure! Great Happy Hour group! Beautiful sunset!
