Over cast most of the day, not too cold and a tasty dinner with family again.

Where are we today ?

Above freezing last night and mostly overcast today. Did get up to 50F (10C) this afternoon. so not too bad. I got a nice back road drive about the area for a bit this morning. Stopped at the Home Hardware in Plattsville picked up our free replacement oil and vinegar sprayer, then fuelled the car. Wow! Sticker shock again 7.3 gallons of gas $37.42 ! Oh Canada! Then grabbed a few more supplies for tonight's supper. Not too great for walkabouts so did a few short ones.
not a very sunny day but not bad
at least not too cold
Got my new Oil and vinegar sprayer, but not working properly, they will order me another one, Oh pooh!
love the sprayer, and a lifetime warranty
Then this afternoon enjoying our e-readers and some computing for a while. Bits of sunshine peeking out here and there is nice.
For supper tonight going to cook a bone in ham 8 lbs we picked up in Ohio for a very good price.  and make a Brown sugar and honey glaze for it, For the recipe you can clic HERE or my recipe blog top tight sidebar.  Adding to our salad and ham, Sandy make few mashed taters and veggies.
nice ham for a good price
too most of the skin off but left the fat to keep it moist
nice kitchen they have with an airtight wood stove insert
a nice working kitchen
ham is done glaze was perfect
Hey that's me!
sliced for dinner and glaze spooned over top
this was very tasty
Supper was yummy and we all ate more than we needed, but the bonus is we have lots of leftover ham and a really nice hambone, to make a large pot of soup in the morning to share. Great weather for meals like this.
That was another great day we had, not too cold and lots of things to keep us busy right here and spend some time with Suzie's brother and sister in law Sandy.
The forecast for tomorrow does not look great, (freezing rain and ice) but I have a feeling that all this weather will miss this area and we may be spared . Not the gospel but just a feeling I have.
Thanks for stopping by and joining in our travels. Hope y'all had a great day too.

  1. We paid 3.55 per gallon of diesel fuel today in Idaho. The attendant told Colin that they will be raising the price of regular gas by .50cents per gallon in two weeks. Has the world gone crazy.

Sorry about your weather. All I can say is that I hope that this is not the new normal.

    1. Everything is getting more expensive all the time, a sign of the times.
Not much we can do about the weather here, but it has been a lot worse and did not have to deal with it.

    1. Yes Larry it can be frustrating, our last sprayer worked good for quite a few years. The ham was excellent, and of course we get good mileage out of it.
