Hanging out enjoying the sunshine, fresh air and a warm sunny day

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Ok this is weather is getting much better finally. Not  much on the agenda today other than enjoy this wonderful warm sunny spring day. Outside to enjoy the fresh air and spotted this guy looking at me beside the car.
sunrise this morning the same as yesterday
just amazing
watched this guy for a bit then he headed up the tree
Headed out for a nice country drive about 7:30 this morning, just because I could and wanted to enjoy this quiet Sunday morning. Down a few new back roads into New Hamburg picked up a few things at Sobey's and around town then back home.
snow is pretty well gone
nice new large log cabin being built
quiet country roads around here
Below is a nice mural on the side of the fire hall in New Hamburg.
old town memories
this old falling down sugar shack in the bush
Back home and we all got outside to enjoy this amazing warm sunny day.
couple of icebergs still here
Cleaning up the yard leaves and mostly branches that have fallen.
this branch fell off a tree and planted it self in the lawn.
Dennis and Sandy had picked up a nice 48 inch lawn sweeper and I volunteered to assemble it. Something I enjoy doing. First I checked to make sure all the parts are here. Stopped to make a nice light lunch then back to playing around with the parts, nuts and bolts reading the instructions (yes I read instructions!)
all the parts are here
After lunch I set to work getting it all together, by myself until it came time for the bag on the back. at that point Dennis, Sandy and Suzie stopped for a break. I need a few extra hands. Well after a few wrong moves we finally got it all together and think it will sure do the job they want it to do. Sweep the lawn, and pick up the leaves, they do have a huge property, plus the farm, lotsa trees and leaves like I have never seen before.
all ready to go, just hook up behind the tractor and away they go.
In the meantime they all worked in part of the yard, even Suzie ! Raking a bit , picking up branches and enjoying this warm sunny day, exercise and fresh air. I enjoyed it in the driveway sunshine playing with the sweeper.
Suzie hard at work
and again
Finally we all had enough about 2 pm time to relax, So we got our lawn chairs out and enjoyed our e-readers in the warm afternoon sun, 65F  (18C) so nice to relax outside again on a warm spring day enjoying our books.
this was a wonderful afternoon.
clear blue skies here in the bush
almost short weather!
Soon time for supper and we decided to enjoy a nice fish fry with Dennis and Sandy. They had a package of fish filets so I made a salad, Sandy made some rice and I pan fried the fish and a few shrimp all coated in Roasted Garlic and Butter Fishcrisp. Quick easy and so very tasty.
ready to fry
fish frying
shrimp
all smelled wonderful and so very tasty
we do love our fish and shrimp
this was perfect fish fry, we all enjoyed
A perfect way to end a perfect spring day.
        Thanks for dropping on by.

  1. We have a lawn sweeper too that hibernates in the attic until fall when we get all the leaves from our neighbor's trees. It sure helps a lot and does what it's supposed to do, sweep up. You did a good job assembling it.

  3. Good job on the sweeper. I have found that sometimes the instructions are written by someone that has never actually put the thing together. or that English isn't their first language. At least that is my excuse if I have trouble!!
Looks like you have spring there. We're not too far behind in Alberta.

  8. That fish looks amazing, as always!! Your e-readers ... I'm wondering how you can see when out in the sun. Do they have some setting that makes the background whiter? I have an awful time reading my phone in the sun, and if I have sunglasses on, it's completely black.

  12. We used to have a sweeper just like that one. The trick was to keep the baler cord out of the sweeper brush.
