More things done and Suzie has her computer back, just do updates and reinstall her programs.

Where are we today ?
Not as cool this morning and my walkabouts town were wonderful. At least had some nice sunshine.
About 9:30 Suzie and I headed to her Mom and Dad's, she wanted me to help hang some pictures on the wall of their room. So that we did and her mom says it feels a bit more like home now.
Picked up a few things at the store and were able to relax outside for a wee bit. Got a call from Jeremy (our local computer guy about 3 pm). New hard drive now installed in her laptop. He is very trusty worthy and reasonable too. So I whipped into Waterloo about 45 minutes each way (friday rush hour). Back home and now Suzie begins the windows updates. She can sit on John's deck and access his internet, thanks John! We have limited bandwidth ya know.

While she did this I prepped supper. Whipped up a salad, cleaned some very nice fresh strawberries (from Quebec) and fired up our Weber Q.
Tonight a couple Onion and Parsley Turkey burgers (from Hayters Farm in Dashwood Ontario) that we have come to really love!
love these burgers
Around 5 pm the rain began, not heavy but nice and refreshing
about 15 minutes the burgers done form frozen
burgers dressed and a salad
excellent
That was another great day for us here always something to do. Rain or shine. Probably hang out here until Monday then off to Rock Glen resort for a few weeks.
Glad that you stopped by again to check us out, y'all come back now hear ?
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

  1. Glad to see Suzie got a new HD installed in her computer and for what sounds like a reasonable price. All I can say is that for a while working on her PC was a real puzzler until the clues began to indicate the problem had to be a faulty HD.

    1. Thanks so much for your help Rick, you got the right diagnosis.
Jeremy is very reasonable and got the new hard drive installed, something you can't do remotely.
Hoping he can recover all her files too. Bought her a new external drive, 1 TB should be good now. Then she just needs to do the Windows 10 update (that she has come to love).

  3. Can't imagine not having a computer at all. Suzie must have been climbing the wall without it. Glad it's fixed and ready for more use.

We got our first real rain last night. It has been since the beginning of August since we have had any real rain.
