Got some Blood moon pics and a huge water leak.

Where are we today ?
We had the Blood Moon here too  like most people in North America and around the world. But our pics aren't nearly as good as most. I did manage to get a couple pics with the cloud cover off and on most of the night.

Today a quite a few walkabouts under my belt and noticed water gurgling up on the lawn across from our campsite. So maintenance guy John set to work to check for the source of this water. At least the water leak was not in our coach!
No fooling around out comes the back hoe, got to dig down 4 feet to find the water line. We had a ring side seat. This was a major main line break. The water for the whole park was shut off for over 3 hours, but no problem we have water in our fresh water tank.
thats our coach across the road
found the leak
After lunch headed over to go for a swim in the pool and soak in the hot tub. Love it this time of year, very quiet.
pool is very warm
hot tub even warmer
John still hard at it
got it
cut the water line and hooked up a fix for it
all done and no leaks
great job John
Checking progress and still enjoying some great weather we managed to get some quality reading time in this afternoon as well. Gonna cool down in a few days so will take the warmth while it's here.
Supper tonight is a couple Fish and chip burgers I thought we would try. Cod Burgers with a potato chip coating. A couple cobs of fresh local corn we picked up yesterday in Tavistock at a farmer's roadside stand to go with our salad.
pan fired burgers an the corn on the grill
Made some tarter sauce for the burgers and enjoyed these burgers very much, very tasty. Corn was excellent as well.
sure did the trick tonight
See always something to keep us busy no matter where we are.
And as usual thank you for stopping by again to check us out.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

  1. We couldn't see the blood moon because it was overcast and rainy here in SC, so I enjoyed seeing your pictures. :c)

  2. Awesome photos of the moon. Too many clouds here in Florida to see it clearly.

What a messy job that water line repair was.

I'll take the hot tub...thank you very much.

  4. We were cloud covered down here so we are seeing it on other blogs.
Glad that leak wasn't in your coach. I'm sure John will enjoy a lower water bill.
That looks like a different way to enjoy Fish & Chips.

  5. Fortunately, I didn't have a single water leak to fix this year here at the park. Good thing, because I don't have a backhoe!

  6. We're seldom in an RV park, so it's a novelty sitting outside and watching the RV next to us... water dripping from the hose that feeds the RV.... constant drip. We also watched a new neighbor back into their site next to us today... and pull up and back up, and pull up and back up etc.... hey... those RV parks can be entertaining! Glad the guy got that water line fixed... looks like a job Bill would love to have done ;-)

    1. Rv parks can be every entertaining, have watched people for well over an hour trying to back into a site, then finally give up and try another site, entertaining yes !
John would have loved to have Bill here, another water leak to fix today I think.

  7. You had some great shots of the blood moon.

Aren't you glad you weren't the one having to dig up those pipes. I'm sure they're happy it's fixed and the digging is behind them too.

    1. Thanks , like you said , sure glad it was not me.
That job is behind them but looks like they may be another water leak somewhere else.

  8. Nice to be able to see and photograph that moon. Broken water lines are bad, broken sewer lines, worse!

My little Pansonic P&S has a setting for night time scenery. Just set it for that and set on a tripod, does a time exposure and works pretty good.
