Moved on down the road, finally , into Cottage country, Ontario !

Where are we today ?
This morning we up and at it first thing, taking our time getting ready to hit the road. Moving away from this area for a couple weeks heading up to Galvin bay Resort in Buckhorn Ontario Canada.
Took a leisurely drive even though along the highway, no hurry, traffic moving along pretty good. Left about 10:15 am and arrived about 2:45 after stopping at the Curve Lake reservation to fuel up our coach, and car. Only $1.06 a litre compared to $1.18 a litre everywhere else. Fuelled up with 224 litres and saved $26.88 on this fill up fuel up alone.
267 kms  (167 miles)
Finally on the road, thanking the highway instead of the backroads. The back roads take 2 hours longer, is a nice drive through the small towns, but also uses more fuel with the stop and go. And have done that route many times over the years.
On the highway moving down the road
Highway 35/115  north
through Bridgenorth and nice small town
love the back roads
Now checked in and all set up before 4 pm in time for Happy Hour.
another nice site here
Visit with friends Pat, Norm, Jim and the dogs, have not seen since last summer.
a nice social time and catch up
Then back home to whip up a salad, preheat the Weber Q, relax with our e-readers and enjoy the view from our site.
nice view
This a cool looking bird
Couple onion and parsley Turkey burgers
add to our salad and was tasty
That was a wonderful day moving on and away for a while. Into cottage country and enjoy another area we love. Our Coast to Coast home park, no overnight fees except for the $5.00 a night resort fee the last 2 years, still very reasonable.
Glad you took the time to stop in for a peak.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

  3. Looks like a good place to be. I may have told you that when I was a kid, we went to Lakefield so the adults could fish the surrounding lakes - we ate a like of fish that week.

  6. I enjoy that part of the province, with the only exception being that, we have to get through the GTA to get there. That can be a downer most times. Looks like you'll be having decent weather for the next little while.
