Fuel efficient rv? And blog followers stopped in for a chat.

Where are we today ?
Are we having another wonderful day? Yep we are. The weather guesser says thunderstorms all day with temps feeling like 33c (91f). Well guess what? They got it wrong no thunderstorms but it was hot and humid, no problem we will take that instead.
Need a fuel efficient Rv take a look at the picture below, a friend sent me this today and thought I would share it with you. Like no fuel other than food to fuel the driver, but don't think I would like it for fulltiming or travelling in the mountains.
pretty compact RV I think
We do still have a bit of tame wildlife (oxymoron) here, bunny next door lives under the cabin and eats the weeds all around here. Comes to visit us once in a while too.
One of my walkabouts I came across this baby Robin just sitting on a picnic table. I could walk right up to him no problem. But just let him be. He got there somehow and a little while later was gone so must be doing just fine. Probably taking a rest.
whatcha lookin at mister?
Just enjoying this wonderful warm, sunny (rainy day) and got some reading done. Then a couple dropped by to chat. We have met them before and are members of this park (Barry and Carolyn). They went fulltime last year and have been following our blog for quite some time. They travelled the southwest last winter and kept missing us for the whole season. So nice that they stopped by for a visit and picked our brains for a few tips here and there, another super couple that we got to spend some time with. As usual we chatted for hours, exchanging stories and before we know it the afternoon was done. They are leaving here in the morning.
Brains are drained so fired up our Weber Q to grill a couple veggie burgers and fresh local asparagus I picked up on sale for $2.00 a lb. added to that some potato salad I made this morning and we are good to go.
very tasty and hit the spot
About 5:30 pm the rain began slowly, not thunderstorms just rain. No problem though we got to spend the whole day out side in the shade with great weather.
After supper inside for the evening just listening to rain. Love it when the rain comes down to freshen everything and make the grass and tress grow. Can almost here them growing.
Thanks for the visit and stopping on by again. Hope ya'll had a great day too!

  1. What an interesting RV! Bill's comment? "I want to see him pedal it uphill". (this from a guy who biked from Sand Diego to Cabo San Lucas... with paniers and a tent (which he never used). Me... I guess I like our comforts of home ;-) You folks sure meet a lot of friends along the way... what a great time!

    1. I can't see him pedalling up hill either. Always people we meet everywhere, when we are sitting outside.

  2. What a cute little ( very tiny RV ) but overall not practical but certainly fun. What a great dinner.

  3. Oh the humidity today !! But the so called rain went through here very late this afternoon and only lasted for about 5 minutes. But it did come down pretty heavy.

  4. I will pass on the fuel efficient RV. I do need my exercise each day but not like that!

  5. Even though he has two wheels on the back, sure looks like it's top heavy. Probably doesn't take corners too fast.

  6. I've seen that bicycle RV photo before. Very cute but certainly impractical.

Humidity already? Could be a long, long summer.

    1. Yep think a long hot summer would just about perfect for us, we are ready.

  7. Not my idea of an RV. I like comfort way too much.

    1. Not mine either, but it does have a bed, couch and tv.

  8. Egads! I can't see him pedaling it uphill, down hill or even on flat roads. However, there is a good side to this .... you would never have to go on a diet and you'd get to eat as much as you want.

  10. I think the compact RV might work, but maybe with a big bike trike? Interesting.

    1. Now you talking, and it would still be pretty fuel efficient too.

  11. That little RV is just way too much work for me! Kudos to anyone who takes that on! The rain held off in London for the most part, beauty day. Too bad I was working! Got a bit of a storm when I was preparing spaghetti for dinner. Further to our conversation on Sunday, no pasta for me, use spaghetti squash instead. A steady rain and a bit of lightning and boomers but no wind. Those are the best storms in my opinion! Sounds like another nice day in your world. :)

    1. Every day living this lifestyle is awesome, only the weather changes a bit here and there.
Soon you not be working and can enjoy all this great weather. We love spaghetti squash too, probably have it for supper tonight or tomorrow.

  12. That is quite an RV but I'm surprised the tires can handle the weight - I think I'll have to stick with our slightly larger and less fuel efficient one :-)

  13. Well, the photo and drawing did get me thinking . . . what about building a camper on my Smart Car? Now that might be interesting! How long do you usually stay in each area while you're in Canada for the summer?

    1. Why not the smart car???
Normally we stay about one or two weeks, then we move. We really have the itch to get going, We outta here on friday, for a week, back for a week then New York for three days, then visit family for a day or two , Another spot for two weeks, then ???? A week or two here and there..

  14. Maybe we could all put our heads together and design a camper for a bicycle built for two!

You know how I love birds...the baby robin is so cute!

    1. Now there's and idea! But I really think a motorized version would be much nicer.
It was so cute and almost looked confused, but he made out alright.
