Relocating today, awesome weather and running into friends !

Where are we today ?
Now this morning we had a major rainfall until about 7:30am then drizzle and a bit of fog. Of course its our travel day. But we are in no hurry. By 9 am skies were clearing a bit and telling us time to secure our coach and hit the road. Love our travel days !
123 kms (76miles)
After we ready to go, say so long to Leah and the dogs (Molly and Buddy). They are sad to see us go but we will be back.

No rain for our travels, and even a very warm day, perfect! Travel through Ailsa Craig and a huge banner announcing the annual Quilt Festival coming up.

Making our way to Rock Glen Resort, love the roads over the rolling hills into the Resort.

All set up in time for lunch. Temps getting pretty warm here too, love it!
yep it's a hot day, perfect !
this be our favourite site
We even got to enjoy our books for a while in the shade, then at 4 o'clock went to join our friends Emile and Monique. Just happened to notice they were here. Last time we hooked up with them was in WinterHaven California for a New Years day turkey dinner. Love running into friends on the road.
Chatted for a while and got caught up then a huge storm cloud came into the area just before 5 pm. We hightailed it back home just before the wind and a major rain storm.
storm coming in
20 minutes later the downpour and wind stopped. I fired up our Weber Q grilled couple bone in pork chops and zucchini slices for supper.
Rain and wind has stopped
our Weber doing a great job as usual
We had a craving for creamy whipped mashed taters so add that to the plate and we had a wonderful meal. Its a real treat to have full hookups again and not worry about water or sewage. Even 30 amps service is a bonus too!
Yummy
After supper we were able relax for a while longer outside enjoying our books and chatting with a few people that dropped by.
That was it for us today. New places, new faces and amazing weather, does it get much better? Think not.
Thanks again for stopping by for a visit and if you are around here drop on by, we be here about 2 weeks I think. Love our membership camping!

  2. We have had our share of lightning, thunder and heavy rain. Tornados just north of us. Stay safe.

  3. We try to plan our travel days when the weather is perfect. However, it doesn't always work out that way. Looks like you made it to your destination after the rain and before it started again. Good planning on your part.

    1. I think the planning was pure luck, the forecast said rain all day.
      Was perfect though.

  4. Looks like a great day was had. Our weather here in the Central Valley of California is HOT! Mid 90s today and low 100s tomorrow and Thursday. We're in for a HOT summer.

    1. We very seldom use our A/C, but the water and sewer sure is nice.
