Christmas morning yeah!, this only happens once a year and always comes quickly for us. We are blessed to be in this sunny warm place and with the company of good friends. Santa was very good to us he paid for our Anniversary Caribbean cruise so I guess were were not all that bad. We watched the Yule Log on Tv and listened to music perfect for a Christmas morning, Then I got a couple miles walked before we did a FaceTime video chat with Daughter # 1 and the 3 grands at 8 am (10 am there) Also my son and Jane and another granddaughter, Got in touch with daughter #2 and will do the Face Time video at 5 pm (7pm there). The video did not work for her they just moved and internet not going quite yet but she did send a few texts and pictures, Suzie contacted her Dad, brother and sister and chatted for a while with them as well. Did the FaceTime with my sister and brother, So looks like all those issues are covered until the next time.

ho ho ho ! Merry Christmas !! |
Christmas morning and the Yule Log on tv warming our room with Christmas songs a perfect beginning to the day |
First couple of walkabout were wonderful a nice quiet Christmas morning.
and this lone Orange tree here in the park I took one home to save for a while |
Then an early snack at 10 am Back Bacon and egg on a English muffin to tide us over until our Christmas Dinner here in the park at 2 pm, With our good friends here, Ron, Loree, Rob, Pat, Bill and Patsy all from Rock Glen resort back home and good friends Jean and Skip from BC joined us as well. The park puts on this whole spread we just take our plates, utensil and beverages only $10.00 per person . Pretty good for a Christmas dinner with none of the prep that can go along with it and just enjoy the time together.
Right after our morning snack I took short drive behind the campground to the free 14 day area 1.6 miles back a nice area on a sandy dusty road, not to very large but free boon docking .
a good road back here |
not too many rigs here right now |
Back home finding a spot to read outside out of the wind, moved around a couple time then right across from us on the edge of the road the fence line shelters us quite nicely .
I am right across the road , very nice here |
The 10 of us got to the clubhouse and seated around a table for 10 we managed. Chatted for a while and everyone got to meet everyone again, not everyone met Jean and Skip before. Telling jokes, kidding around lotsa laughs then time for food. Our table was the second one called again so a quick trip along the food line we were served Ham, Turkey, fresh made cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, homemade dressing, gravy, green bean casserole and fresh buns with butter. Oh yum what a treat. Then they came around with desert, apple or pumpkin pie with or without whipped cream, that was the over the top finishing touch. What a feast for the price. After some more laughs and picture taking we walked back home, sunny still but the winds did not let up coming from the west with gusts to 24 mph felt pretty cool even tough it was 70 F.
here we are waiting for our turn to go for dinner |
a good turn out for Christmas dinner |
nicely set up great food and smiling friendly faces |
oh my this was so tasty |
and apple pie with whipped cream took me over the top |
Now tummies full we taking a few more pictures and fooling around, Ron and Loree actually Ron with Pat carrying on sitting on Ron's knee as Loree looks on more laughs and carrying on.

Jean and Skip headed back to the LTVA and their dogs , we relaxed outside for a bit with Rob and Pat for a while but found it just too chilly and no where to get out of the wind. By now was 4:30 so we headed inside.
