Meeting fellow bloggers on a sunny day in Texas is fun!

Where are we today ?
Not too cool overnight windows open all night and a nice sunny morning, is just great here in Texas! Morning walkabouts, coffees and computing is the usual.
I talked Suzie into coming shopping with me to check out this HUGE Kroegers grocery store in Willis. Just down the road. Mind you had to bribe her with a promise of lunch at Popeye's Chicken and biscuits . So we wandered about the this monster store for a while , picked up a few good deals, filled our car with gas (3 cents a gallon discount), just cause we shopped at Kroegers, another good deal. A couple pieces of "spicey chicken" for me and a chicken Po'boy  for Suzie just hit the spot. (love Popeye's Louisiana chicken). Then back home to our house.
Unpacked and found that fellow Bloggers from Ontario had parked right behind us! Dead give away, Ontario licence plates and at large Shaw direct dish.
Mind you knew they were coming here via a comment on the blog and knew what their coach and smart car looked like (very distinctive for sure). Gerry and Brenda (Turtle on down the road) had just spent 4 months in Mexico and are heading back to Ontario for the summer months just like us.
Well we got together and chatted for a while in the warm afternoon sun, strong winds , but all was great. Being bloggers and rv'ers always something talk about for hours on end. The conversations just flowed, a super couple.
Gerry and Brenda
We also had a young neighbor drop by to join us as well, Eric. New to Rving and was having problems with his tv's, heat and air conditioning. So we all got together and helped him out, both his tv's, furnace and ac are now functioning  again, Yep he is happy!
About 3:30 Emile and Monique dropped by to join us for "Happy Hour" (social hour). Chat some more then before we know its time for supper. Getting darker and a bit cooler anyway. so everybody heads on home to do their thing.
just a great day and getting to know each other
beautuful blue skies
So no grilling tonight had already planned some leftovers from our BBQ'd pork roast from last night. I whipped up a quick and easy Pork Stroganoff and fresh broccoli for supper. Just perfect, on a bed of broad egg noodles.
yummy
Thats it for today with no plans and lotsa fun meeting new people.
Glad you stopped in for a vist and were able to meet everybody here. As we say here its a test do you remember everybody's name? Not likely gonna happen but we do think we can remember the faces!

  4. LOVE LOVE LOVE Krogers. They are famous for their 10 for 10 sales. Milk is so cheap there too. Definataly one of the best USA Grocery stores in my opinion. (Not that I've shopped at too many different ones).

  5. Glad that you got to meet up with Brenda and Gerry and have a good chat with them.

That Kroeger store sounds huge. I know that some of their stores have a great selection of gluten free products so if we are ever in that area we will have to check it out.

  7. Nice of you to help Eric. What goes around comes around! We would do the same! Most RVers are that way. We call it the butterfly effect.

  8. Have to agree Krogers are nice stores, they run under the name Ralph's here in Southern Calif. I like the gas discounts that you get with there rewards card also. Sounded like a nice meet up with Gerry and Brenda. Love Popeye's chicken so much better then KFC. Nice way to finish up the pork roast. We cooked ribs in the pressure cooker for the first time yesterday and finished on the Weber, came out fast and delicious like you said.
