Just enjoying more great weather until ????

Where are we today ?
Great night for sleeping, windows open, perfect temperature and just wonderful. Then this morning a beautiful sunrise right outside our dining room window. Sure do love this lifestyle and great places to live.

Sunrise across the lake
morning sun on our patio too
Just look at the pollen on our car after just three days here. Had to wash it just to see out the windows. But hey a small price to pay for sunshine and very warm weather at this time of year.
Then walkabouts and bike riding around the resort which is just amazing. Not too hot today about 75f and no clouds in the sky.
Cannot believe all the White American white Pelicans around the lake here. We have only see them this much on the Gulf coast and in Mexico, these are huge birds.
American White Pelicans
lotsa Pelicans
Suzie cruising too
This afternoon on our ride stopped by for a nice visit with Ken and Barbee a couple we met the other night at the fish fry. Chatted for ever, comparing notes and telling stories, such a great couple.
Suzie even got her dog fix too, with their friendly Pomeranian (sorry can't remember his name). Then time to ride a bit more and head back home.

When we got back home Charley (our Squirrely friend) was there waiting for us. Wanting to know where we have been! Pushing little guy he is. And no, Charley no treats even if you are cute. He gave us the evil eye, and looked like he was going to pull a gun on us. But then gave up in disgust and left us alone.
Got treats mister ?
Now we can read our books for a while in the shade. Then the couple beside dropped by to Chat for a while too, Don and Joany, nice people from the Houston area just pleased as punch to meet two Canadians such a long way from home. As usually happens time flies when we are having fun, then before ya know it time for supper. So fired up our Weber for some bacon cheeseburgers and Fry Daddy to make some homemade fries. This still has to be our favourite burger spot of all the places we have tried. Pretty good service and best prices too! Not real fast food but whats our hurry anyway?
A couple loaded bacon cheeseburgers and fries,
 sure hit the spot
Then a little desert I picked up, Angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Enough here for two nights desert.
so tasty
Another perfect Texas day. We are so lucky to be able to live this lifestyle and realize it even more.  Just look at the two pictures that sister-in-law Sandy sent today from the farm back home! They had more snow today!. The first picture is where we usually park our coach when we get there and thats only 21 days away!!!! OH MY!!!! Not looking good.
our parking spot beside the shed
Front porch of the farmhouse.
This is where we watch the sunsets in the summer, brrrr
Let's just hope the weather changes for the better soon, we can only hope.

Anywho, thanks for stopping by and enjoying the awesome weather with us, and do come on back for a visit or drop in anytime ya like.

  4. Hope that snow disappears before you get any closer. It's not fun looking forward to that. It either seems to be too hot or too cold but I love that 75f.

  5. We would gladly have pollen all over our car for some warmth. It is supposed to continue to be in the 30's for the next 2 weeks here in IN. Brr...
We will be leaving in about 11 days and sure would like warmer weather.
    Your bacon/cheeseburgers looked yummy.

    1. We actually put on less miles this year than previous 6 winters, but was lotsa fun. We are hoping for that snow to go away soon!

  7. Charley is a cutie. Not sure how you two can resist him.

We are headed for Ohio in a few short weeks. We hope that snow leaves by then also!

Pollen all over everything here too and we aren't really close to any pine trees.

  9. Love that cheeky squirrel! Likely a good idea not to feed him, even though you get the evil eye! Yes, enjoy your sunshine - we have tons of snow here in Germany too. Not exactly the ideal beginning to Spring! But the days are brighter and the birds are out in full song. I just hope the asparagus is OK. Big hug to you both!
