Heading a bit more north and much colder!

Where are we today ?
Last night was so warm in Trinity Texas at 9pm, it was 87f,  we actually had to turn on our airconditioner to be comfortable! This morning still nice and warm 67f outside at 4 am lovin' it!!
So up and ready to go, (almost), coffees , computing, walkabouts and just putter about, getting ready to hit the road. 8:15am hooked up and pulling out Johnnie, (new friends that made us supper last night) came out to wish us well and packed us some nice snacks for on the road today. Such a wonderful lady, we do hope to meet up again, either here or on down the road.
250  miles today
Now we are "On the road again" with Willie Nelson singing along with us.Taking the back roads towards Texarkana. Such a wonderful peaceful trip. Small towns and villages along the way.Two lane roads, but what amazes me is the speed limits here. Two lane highways and 70 mph (112 kph). Now we don't drive that fast but you can!
Small town court house
Here we are coming into Texarkana,, around the city and up to Ashdown Arkansas, a small town about 5,000 population, right up our alley.
Our destination today
Arrived here about 2 pm and saw our friends, Rob and Pat heading out to the store.
Thats ROB
Got ourselves checked in, and set up, but so cold here compared to where we were. Instead of 80 f more like 45 f. Oh well we can rough it gotta get ready for the cooler weather back home, Beside its a membership park so free camping for us, no overnight fees, we like that, with full hookups!
cold and rainy
Our friends are parked right across from us, those two trailers.
Now all set up and another neighbor stopped by to chat, he too is from southern Ontario as well. But got cool and drizzly so we all headed inside. Then Rob stopped by and had the 6 of us over for "Happy hour". Catch up and chat for a bit until time for us to head home and make supper. Took a picture of the ladies but they were all blurry. Maybe somebody had too much wine, ya think?? Not me, don't drink much wine.
Rob and John
That's it for another fun day. Too cold and rainy for our Weber, but had couple chicken breasts thawed out so I just whipped up some chicken fried rice, veggies, onions mushrooms and stuff. So tasty and hit the spot!
yum
Soo much cooler here and only 250 miles north of where we were. But it will get colder before it gets warmer. Bonus, we met up with some friends to hang out with for a few days too!
Anywho, thanks for stopping in and enjoying our day of travel with us.

  1. Not a bad sounding travel day, Once again nice to meet up with old friends. One thing about RV'ing almost anywhere can be just like your neighborhood knowing people. Looking forward to the day we can meet up. Glad that you had a fun happy hour sounded great. Liked your dinner too. Til tomorrow

  7. Safe trip home and please bring some of that warmer weather with you, Ontario is still in a deep freeze! Your dinners always make me so hungry and it is only morning! Will you park your coach when you are back to Ontario or will you still travel around? I enjoy following along on your adventures.

    3. We can legally only be in the USA for 182 days (6 months) per calendar year. We can leave Ontario for 7 months but only 6 months in the USA. If we stay here longer we have to leave later in the fall nd on't wanna do that.
