Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August. 2006
More of the same weather, sunny and hot, fantastic for people on holidays like us! Karen came over for a morning coffee and brought some sticky buns to go with it. We chatted more and discussed some possibilities for the day. I went to town for a few items and stopped at the Curve Lake Reservation Gas Bar to fuel our car only 85.9 cents a liter. After a light lunch of BBQ'd mini burgers (sliders) the three of us went for a short drive. Our first stop was the Whetung Ojibwa Crafts and Art Gallery always a nice stop to check out the beautiful displays, expensive artwork and it was cool inside.
Then into Buckhorn hardware for a drawer latch to repair Karen's trailer and onto Kawartha Country Winery to sample some of their fine fruit wines. Its always nice to taste their products before purchasing. Back home we puttered around a bit, relaxed in the shade and went for a nice refreshing swim before BBQing some HUGE pork chops that Karen brought. With this we had mashed potatoes and a Greek Salad followed by some refreshing ice cream for desert. Afterwards sat around chatting when a friend Ron showed up to surprise us. He is working in the area and took his trailer out of storage to put on a site and go fishing. We have not seen him and his wife since last August so it was nice to catchup again. Another great day.
