First day of Fall and moving on down the road, loving it!

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
First day of fall, where did the summer go. cooling down just like that overnight.
Another wonderful nights sleep, up at 5 am puttered around had my oatmeal, coffees and computing done, Then shortly after 8 am taking our time secured the coach, hooked up the car and on the road about  8:40. Wanted to get this done before the rain predicted to begin at 9 am, And yes it began right at 9 am!
Hooked up and ready to hit the road,
good bye Camp Awesome see you in the spring
Which way to head to Rock Glen? So many choices of routes, think we will take Maplewood side road, quiet newly paved 2 lanes and next to no traffic, a very relaxing drive, A bit of light rain on and off but no big deal arrived at Rock Glen shortly after 10 am and heck it is raining here. Heavy for a bit then a light drizzle. Taking our time between rain drops we got set up on our site and enjoy a light lunch at 11 am. The sun is coming back out , yahoo! And a comfortable 72F.
a nice country drive
we passed the Dairy farm Suzie grew up on
our Nephew works it now
this is Maple wood, 6 houses and a farm
Just before turning into Rock Glen Resort we spotted this nice rainbow, right at our destination.
we heading to the end of the rainbow
Puttering around and Tucker dropped by to see Suzie, dragging Gerry along with him.
doggie fix for Suzie
the site we enjoy here, no campsites  beside, in front or behind us
the campground so quiet now, perfect
relaxing and peaceful here.
We relaxed in the shade enjoying our page turners. Suzie charging her I-pad and spotted this critter crawling up her charge cord.
first one this year a walking stick is what we call them
The shortly after 3 pm Happy Hour evolved at our place as usual. Rob and Pat, (we have camped with for many years), as well and Paul and Judy. Sharing stories and getting  together again is always fun with these guys.
a fun Happy hour
They headed home before 5 pm , out chicken almost done to perfection on our Weber Q.
love our chicken on the Weber Q when we can get them for a good price
Lotsa leftover chicken and bones, think a chicken soup needs to be whipped up tomorrow, like why not? And of course chicken for lunches as well.
Nice to be here for a couple of weeks again with  full hook ups and no overnight fees. Last time her this year before we make our migration south to warmer winter temperatures.
A great day we enjoyed new scenery and friends again and relax a bit more.
Thanks for taking the time to join us and hope you had a great day as well.

My countdown when we head south October 17thCountdown

  7. I had no idea how long your RV and toad was. Both of them are so shiny they look new. Beautiful back roads and lovely farm Suzie grew up in.

Loved the picture of the rainbow. Wow, that chicken looks so good! Was wondering how long it was going to take Tucker to drag Gerry down to your camp :D

    1. Ms.B our coach and toad close to 60 feet long, no problems moving down the road. I take care of them being 20 years old , nice to have a shiny house.
We do enjoy these quiet back roads and the countryside we love and she grew up in. I have come to love it as well.
The rainbow was a bonus and our chicken perfect as usual on our Weber Q. Did not take long for Tucker to drag Gerry over here as usual.

  8. We prefer the back roads when we can. So much better than a busy Interstate. Time is passing quickly for your trip south. Lol!
