A relaxing busy day, Happy hour and a great dinner with friends tonight .

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A good nights sleep again and no issues with my finger, the freezing came out and no pain, yeah! Thats a good thing. I did get a couple of miles walked around the campground this morning in the fresh air and loving the quiet campground so peaceful.
Kind of an overcast day and a bit chilly only 64F a few light drizzles  off and on. I took a drive around the area stopped at the Reserve to fuel up the car nice fuel prices $1.03 a litre , also stopped at a shack and picked up a pound of pickerel for our freezer, nice when I can get it when in this area.
campground pretty quiet after the long weekend
Loving this wonderful warm sunny day. Enjoying our page turners and the afternoon sunshine, perfect weather.
We enjoyed a light tasty lunch, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers are so tasty, love them thanks Dorothy.  Another walkabout and chatted with a few people out and about. The sun came out and was very warm once again.
Shortly after 3 pm happy hour evolved and today Melinda joined us with Tucker, Gerry was out and about and she was done work for the day. Tucker knows the way and dragged here right over here.
Tucker in his chair waiting for a treat from Suzie
good boy he waits for the signal
Melinda and Tucker today
A bit later Joe walked by with Choco and stopped in for a couple of minutes to chat.
Hi Choco you missed the treats today sorry
We got invited for dinner with John and Donna just down from us. It's been a couple of years since we were invited to their place for some of her amazing deep fried pork chops. These are so vey tasty and tender.
here Donna is frying up the chops
We had a wonderful feast , pork chops, fresh local corn on the cob done on their Weber Q, mashed taters, local field tomatoes and home-made applesauce, Oh my what a feast we enjoyed and the conversation was wonderful, it has been a couple of years since we really got together like this .
what a feast we enjoyed
LR: Suzie, Donna and John
Shortly after 7pm was time for us to head on home, relax a bit more outside enjoying some more of this warm summer weather while we can, Finish this posting and read our page turners a bit more . before heading inside once it cools down.
What a great day we had , relaxing, reading, a wonderful happy hour and then a tasty meal with camping friends here in the park.
Hope y'all enjoyed your day and looking forward to many more, we will have another busy day again tomorrow more appointments etc. Thanks for stopping by.     I found these pictures below I forgot to post with our visit on Sunday with our daughter (she took them) and grands. We were playing a number game with her and she was very good at 1 and 1/2 years old  she could tell us most of these numbers and can talk in full sentences as well. Amazing how being around her older siblings, plus the day care children here during the day can influence a young mind.
she knows this is number 6
and points at the 20 and can say it

  5. The campground sure looks different now that it's cleared out. What a great time of the year, especially if no hurricanes in the area. Gord.

  7. Elated to hear that your finger is doing well but most importantly that you are not in pain. You and your friends do know how to cook...why is it that mine don't?

I have never had deep fried pork chops but they look delicious as does all the dinner you guys were treated to.
