A nice relaxing day we enjoyed with some pretty decent weather.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After a busy day yesterday a quiet evening and light salad for supper hit the spot. In bed just before 10 pm and slept right through until 5 am, chilly morning again 52F. Time to put our flannel sheets back on again. Fall is in the air. Our Blue Flame heater is already back in service and have used it a few times to take the chill off. After a nice walkabout this morning another 2 miles to start my day, chat with a few people. Then time to launder our cotton summer sheets and put them away until next summer. With the one easy load just right across from our campsite is the parks laundry. Nice and handy.
this tree is turning already
caught Gerry working staining the playground equipment
Then time for a tasty light lunch at 10:30 as usual, that's why we have supper by 5:30, and not much on the agenda today. A few more walkabouts temps mostly about 70F with some sunny periods, and some rain off and on for a decent day.
And between walkabouts got some wonderful reading on our e-readers.
pretty decent day we enjoyed
campground still nice and quiet
A bit later Linda stopped by to give Suzie a doggie fix with her puppies she was walking.
they do love Suzie
and they went see melinda as well for a pet
A nice quiet Happy hour then was soon time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of pork cutlets I picked up the other day for a good price.
these are very tender I make schnitzel just like these
Quickly fry in our pan and some cheese and top with some fresh made salsa to go with our usual salad for supper tonight.
not long these are so tender and tasty
tasty salad with fresh tomatoes and cucumber
sure did the trick tonight
Now another lovely evening outside still enjoying some of this warm late summer weather for a while, chat with a few people as they walk by. Then soon time to head inside as it cools down a bit later.
Thanks  for taking the time to drop on by,

  1. The park looks great as it starts to strut its fall colors. A great time for the locals to enjoy it before fall turns to winter. I remember my mom in the kitchen with her wooden mallet turning some tough meat into a cullet.

    1. The fall colors are coming and the locals still enjoying some decent weathter for a while. I have a mallet that I use for various cuts of meat when I want to make something in particular really makes the meat tender, But this was already done in the store and a decent price so picked it up was wonderful.

  5. Soon for the flannel sheets here too. With our duvet last night, we were toasty with no heat. It is too soon for this overnight weather in our opinion!

    1. We don't have heat in overnight, and have not put our co former on yet. A little early in the season but is inevitable so may as well give in.

  7. What I would give for your early morning temperatures. It must be nice to be able to watch the leaves turn. Glad you had a chance to spend a quiet day.

    1. These early morning temps we get mostly year round, but with the leaves turning comes winter and we have spent too many winters here with sub zero temperatures, not fun.
